Watch Dogs and The Crew delayed to 2014

It's good it got delayed they can make it better
True point.

And by the looks of the recent WD vids, it doesn't look as great after all. Oddly, the old E2 2012 vids seemed better than the 2013 vids.

As time progressed from the first showing until now, I became less uninterested in this title. It still needs a year IMO.

You say that, but there is a huge difference in genre from the one WD exists in as opposed to the one KoA exists in, one with a considerably smaller and more niche potential audience.

Infamous 2? Not a multiplat. Witcher 2? Not going to compete on a scale of any significance with WD, again with regards to differences in genre. Watch Dogs has considerably larger mass appeal then both of them for such reasons. The game will do just fine, if it is good, especially considering how invested Ubisoft is in each of their franchises.

Whether it has broad appeal or not, it's still going to be released in a crowded market next year. It will all depend on when it gets released, but as I said -- there is only but so much money consumers will spend on games, in general, for 2014.

Keep in mind that is revenue. Since that lost revenue also means there are less variable expenses as a result the amount that hits the operating loss will be smaller

Lol, they won't get that money back in the Spring. Destiny, Witcher 3, Second Son, Thief 4, ES Online, and Titan Fall all come out late march early April.

They should have only delayed the current gen versions.

I wasn't saying that they would get it back, I was saying that the actual amount lost is smaller than $560 million due to foregone expenses

watchdogs better be the s*** that ends all s*** since gonna cost near a billion to finish.

The E3 demo was spectacular, but it was obviously a heavily scripted segment. But I'm optimistic that the final game will be worth a purchase. It can't be worse than ACIII, right?

...Right?

.........Guys?
I thought ACIII was great. So yes, it could be worse, but that could still be good. IMO ;)

Ehhhhh..... I barely survived the part with young Connor. Soooo boring. I think what really killed my interest was that once you get into the game proper, there's so much forest and nothing truly interesting to do. They added things like hunting and asset collection that just aren't fun. They're chores.

Good god I hope ACIV is better. And I REALLY hope Watch Dogs is more than AC in a futuristic skin.
