Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales
8/10

Actually a fun adventure with classic action and naval scenes. Fun story to boot.

Transformers: The Last Knight - 5/10 The movie looks great like always and a couple parts I liked. The film as a whole was just not very good. The weakest of the series. The ending suggests where the next movie is going, me I’m ready for a new writing/directing team to tackle the Transformers franchise. Just not much fun/entertaining anymore.

Blade Runner 2049 - 10/10 the film looked amazing, the sound and score beats in your chest, had some emotional parts, and a couple nice twists. This is one of the best movies of the year, one of the best sci fi films ever, and one of the best sequels ever. It blew me away. Go see it!

Just saw it and really enjoyed it. 3 Hours of great cyberpunk visuals and a weird story.

Strangely, I sort of think it should have had more visceral violent scenes. Not major Gore at all, but the movie is so highly polished, it does come close to almost being sterile in a way. This is just a contrast to me to the original that had a much more personal fight between Deckard and Roy. Or when Deckard retired Zhora and Priss they were hit with explosive blood spray gun blasts. Or when Roy killed Tyrel.

Something similar to this seemed to happen to the Robocop reboot though even worse being downgraded to PG-13. I would contrast this against DREDD which oddly enough IMO resembled the original Robocop more than the reboot.

This is just a very minor nitpick critique as a ponder this, Ghost in the Shell, and perhaps future cyberpunk in cinema. I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere of the film and attention to detail as well as lighting and composition. I love seeing projects like this and I want to see Noir-ish Sci-Fi continue to grow.

Raw: not sure why I watched it. Couldn't turn it off though. There were literally scenes where my mouth fell to the floor - scenes I probably will never forget. I'm scarred for sure.

And it's a French movie so be prepared.

For example: Big sis gives Lil' sis a "trim". AND what follows after. Just.... f***ing insane.

Blade Runner 2049 - Great

Meticulous storytelling wrapped around a wonder display of cinematography, set design, and score.

I liked it better than the first one.

Went to see Bladerunner with wife sunday night but it was only in AVX 3D and seeing as I didnt want to have my ear drums blown out we went to the regular screening of IT, which Id also been wanting to see. I thought it was good and really well done. Wife screamed out twice at jump scares LOL.
I thought Pennywise could have been done alittle creepier though.

Baby Driver -Crap

Logan Lucky - crap

Amerian Assassin - Average

Pirates of the Caribbean 5 - crap

I didn't dnjoy either of them...so I 'm not wrong at all.

Blade Runner 2049 - A worthy sequel. A bit faster paced with a bit more action than the original.

Think I prefer the first, though...but has been awhile since I saw it last.

Just finished Baby Driver and thought it was alright (7/10). One thing for sure the soundtrack was amazing from the getgo. The best part for me was the Subie because I used to own a 02 WRX. oh Memories. Someday I will get one again.

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets: Good

Casting and writing were odd, but man there is so much creativity in every scene, you can't help but enjoy it. Highly reminiscent of The Fifth Element.
