What movies have you seen recently?

The Lost City Of Z - 8/10 I really liked this one. Thought it was a well made film. Good cast (Charlie Hunnam, Robert Pattinson, Sienna Miller, and Tom Holland), good acting, and nice cinematography. Props to Hunnam he was really good in this.

Sienna Miller is to acting, as Herpes is to attractive traits in a partner.

She really gets up my goat for some reason.

The Hateful Eight - 8.5 / 10 , very enjoyed this movie, slow build up, but very liked the characters.

But she gets my goat standing up at full attention. :hehe:

Dunkirk - 9/10 Thought it was a damn good film I loved it. It looked and sounded amazing. Was a great experience seeing it in XD, I will definitely be going back and seeing more movies on that screen.

What is XD?

Power Rangers

Not great but not bad. Didnt like the dino designs but it was enjoyable

Me and my daughter watched Conquest of the Planet of the Apes.
Love them all besides the Tim Burton train wreck.

Watched LIFE tonight. Kinda dumb, imo. Somehow, I already knew that I wouldn't love it, but I thought it would be better.

I watched Dunkirk last night. Good movie, but pretty tough to sit through. I do applaud it for being so direct and different.

King Arthur: 8/10

Signature Guy Richie film. Quite enjoyed the fantastical elements and premise despite not sticking "true" to the original story.

Pretty much sums up what I said about it.

My only real gripe was how it used modern language

The Dark Tower

Honestly, the books are a sprawling mess with cool moments sprinkled throughout. The movie tends to be like this to while being severely condensed.

I had mild expectations because the source material is frankly absurd. I found it entertaining I guess.

In a bizarre way, it felt like a modern KRULL lol.

The Parent Trap: Lindsay Lohan. 'nuff said.

I'm pretty sure everyone wants to 'Parent Trap' someone at some point, but I prefer people when they're single. Maybe I can make an anti-parent trap...

Just got home from watching Dunkirk in IMAX 70mm

Visually and sound wise the movie was pretty awesome.

I'm glad I got to experience it in IMAX because I don't think a home a version would do the movie justice.

Plot was pretty weak over all, but I felt like it did a good job getting the point across of the need to survive.

I loved the branched story lines that converged into one.

Movie overall was average imo. Solid 7/10.

Watched this on Netflix, I enjoyed it. It's kind of strange but I really like the CGI work. The Netflix version has English voice acting.

I did love the branching story lines. It reminded me a bit of Return of the Jedi, somehow, but done much better.

Yeah, there wasn't much meaningful dialog, but somehow everything on "The Moonstone" boat and Kenneth Branagh’s Commander Bolton stood out the most, for me.

I don't even know what to compare that movie to, since out was literally like watching one set of converging intense action sequences.
