What movies have you seen recently?

Man of Steel 4k

Ended up adding this to my quickly growing 4k Collection and it's a solid update over the blue ray version.

The Reeves cgi moment is even more clearer in 4k (And I love that tribute)

Shape of Water- Enjoyed it not a amazing movie but worth watching imo.

Watched "Rumble in Cell Block 99" today. Pretty good little movie, really brutal. Different direction for Vince Vaughn which was cool, plays a pretty imposing character. I never realized how big of a guy he is.

Game Night - Good
Too cheesy.

Saw Red Sparrow on Friday. I was almost completely lost in that movie. I must have missed something somewhere that explained what the exact plot was. And why she was being trained on how to have sex.

Thor Ragnarok - 9/10 Rented this last night. It was a lot of fun! We’re watching it again already. Once again Hulk steals every scene he’s in. I think it’s time they try another stand alone film. Oh and that theater/play cameo at the beginning I was like wait is that... LOL!

Can’t wait to see Black Panther when it hits home release and we will for sure be seeing Infinity War in theater.

As long as universal own the hulk publisher rights we aren't getting a stand alone film

Tomb Raider: must see for fans of the game

Alicia Vikander was excellent as Lara. Movie was based on the rebooted video game series, with its own take on the plot. Awesome set pieces and some gorgeous camera shots. Watch it on the big screen!

Edit: I should also mention there are a few jump scares in the film. Funny to see people freak out if you don't get phased by them.

Justice League- 6/10 I thought it was decent entertainment, but could have been better as a whole. There are parts I liked, I think the main cast of characters as a whole is good, and worked well off each other. Wonder Woman steals every scene she’s in and remains the best character in this DCU. Some parts looked great and was a lot of fun to watch. Is it just me or are parts of the films effects look off and unfinished? Comparing this to the other films I would say this is my least favorite. I wonder where they go from here. This is definitely not as bad as some people made it out to be, just not the film it should/could have been.

Reshoots.

Watched it in 4K and it looks really nice.

Pacific Rim 2: okay

Take the original Pacific Rim, add more action, tone down the charisma and seriousness, and you get a decent sequel that would be perfect for the Disney Channel. It's made for younger audiences.

Also, there are a LOT of actors with non-American accents. Go to a theater with clear speakers, or better yet, wait for the Blu-Ray and turn on the subtitles.

Got to attract that China crowd

I never understood not being able to understand different accents. I live and grew up in SE Texas and have no trouble understanding people in films with accents.

I just saw Kong Skull Island. The movie was not good but man that CGI was insane. That's got to be the best stuff I've ever seen.

Saw Isle of Dogs, I’m a biased fanboy when it comes to Wes Anderson cinematography and it being an indie darling of a flick. If I had to rate it out of eleven it’d be an eight, my friend said it was too grounded and wanted more expressive characters but gave it a seven out of eleven. So it’s a 3 out of 4 stars or 2.5 if you’ll take her word :p

May not want to take your kids, not a kids movie, it’s not bad but it’s will probably a lil dry for them.

It’s a cute and charming love letter to doggos and their owners.
