What movies have you seen recently?

Hereditary: unsettling and unnerving. It made me physically uncomfortable to watch. Then the third act happens and...I'm not sure if I like the movie, but it made me squirm.

Truth or Dare: Final Destination, but done boringly. Crap ending. Do not watch.

I just want to highly recommend the new season of MST3K that is on Netflix. Nobody can ever really replace Joel for me, but it is still very entertaining.

Last Flag Flying - 7/10 Watched this on Amazon Prime, I liked it. Was well acted and I enjoyed this cast. Fishburne and Cranston were great especially Cranston he stole almost all the scenes. Worth the streaming or rental check it out.

Hereditary 6.2 - don't get me wrong, definitely worth seeing imo. If slow horror movies aren't for you, best steer clear of this one. Good acting...weird ending.

For me, it was doing good until that ending and I think it will make or break the experience for alot of people. The suspense in this movie is great but the pacing is horrible.

Edit: Definitely NOT the scariest movie ever seen by any stretch

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

f***, they f***ing got me with the jump scares. Scared the hell out of me, but it was such a fun and unique ride. So ready for Lost World on Steroids.

Triple 9 - 7/10 Just watched this for the first time on Prime. It was a pretty good cop/crime film, but with this cast I was expecting it to be better. It was worth the watch though.

Wind River - 9/10 That was a damn good film! I can’t believe I waited this long to watch it. Really good cinematography and performances. Those last few scenes towards the end were really intense. It’s on Netflix.

JP Fallen Kingdom

The previous one captured the magic of the original film, this one throws some shade on it and plays with your emotions with said shadows. It’s fun, well paced, featuring some amazing cinematography and visual trickery, along with several call backs and twist to dialogue from the original.

It leaves a lot of questions though and there is a post credit scene, gosh there’s so many VFX studios that worked on this, it was so happy to see the music credits so short.

9.5/11 or 3.5 stars out of 4

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom - Good
I liked it better than the first one.

Sicario: Day of the Soldado - Good
A rough, dark, brooding movie.

I agree with the emotions.

JW:FK Pretty good. I liked it more than The first Jurassic World movie. It was almost a horror movie more so than a dinosaurs run wild movie. Hopefully after the end they go big with the third.

Incredibles 2: Great follow up to the first.

Agree with ya on both flicks...if there’s no third incredibles I’ll be ok with that

Wanted to watch a movie but something short, so I went with Europa Report. It was alright. Nothing special though.

I saw something interesting earlier. Basically that maybe soon we will see less big name actors/writers/directors try to make their own take of a well known property or franchise because of the fan overreaction/troll infested internet we live in today. People in the industry are tired of dealing with it. I kind of agree, it’s getting a bit ridiculous now days.

So salty fans on message boards are going to prevent people from taking extremely high paying jobs?

Watched Dracula Untold again last night in 4K, pretty much had forgotten everything about seeing it previously. I don't know why but I do remember not liking it that much the first time I saw it, this time I enjoyed it. Sadly it looks like it's not getting a sequel since Universal doesn't consider it part of it's new monsters universe.

Jurrasic Park: Fallen Kindom - 7.3 I saw this in 4DX with the moving seats, water sprays and smoke. It was really entertaining and was great fit for the movie experience.

The Incredibles 2 - 8.0 It was pretty awesome. Lots of laughs. The end was my least favorite part of the movie. I think 80% of the movie was great..the last 20% was kinda meh.

Sicario: Day of the Soldado - 6.8 I liked the first one better. There was a big ass cop out in this one..but I have to admit - I liked the ending and it made me chuckle.

Rampage: 7/10 surprisingly decent, but the humor was written for 13 year olds.

The Domestics: 8/10 Reminds me of the comic book series Old Man Logan; the country is divided into territories that are controlled by gangs/crazies. One man and his wife try to survive a road trip. I loved the camera work and the fast-paced plot. Character development was actually pretty subtle and effective. Fun movie for sure!
