Yeah! I watched it tonight and agree totally.

The Greatest Showman - 7/10 I’ve never been big on musicals. My sister came to town and rented this for the whole family to watch (she’s been raving about it) I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. It was a good movie, the songs were very catchy.... and like always Jackman is a god.
I still think it’s a little silly watching a film and someone all of a sudden breaks out in song/dance lol.
Only musical I ever watched and enjoyed was Grease 1 & 2.
I think The Blues Brothers should qualify as a musical.

Finally watched Blade Runner for the first time and loved it, great movie! then I watched Blade Runner 2049 and while it's good it's just not as good as the first one but it's still worth seeing.
Also watched Black Panther, good movie but way overhyped just like Wonder Woman was, I think some of it is just people giving in to perceived social pressure. It's a top 10 marvel movie but I can think of about 7 others that I liked better. Almost all of the outdoor green screen scenes looked really fake, pretty but fake.
Yeah! Blade Runner is so good. That atmosphere . Blade Runner 2049 was a worthy successor, though.
Makes me want a game version (like all good movies do lol) but an open world GTA meets Blade Runner game would be great, especially with the ability to do HDR in games now. I know "The Last Night" is cyberpunk but the pixel art thing just doesn't convey the look the way a big budget AAA game like that would, who knows maybe the game from CDPR will

I think we're gradually seeing 'Legacy' movies come around with old films franchises being revisited. This was attempted with TRON for example. We've seen the meandering reboots of STAR WARS as well as ALIEN.
I think Blade Runner 2049 is so far the best such attempt I've seen at trying to do this kind of thing. It is a solid late sequel.
Yeah, I think my only disappointment with 2049 was that even though it had better special effects it didn't convey the same atmosphere the first one did. The crowds of people, the airship with the video screen, the buildings being used as screens etc, that stuff was used far more sparingly in 2049 and that's unfortunate. I don't think 2049 was bad at all, it just wasn't as good as the original IMO but as I said it's worth seeing for sure.
I think there is a tendency in the FX to have more Holograms strolling around rather than building screens. Ghost in the Shell was way overkill with this.
Not that I minded this one.
Just got out of Deadpool 2
Dude, is it me or was there a big cameo missing?
where was Stan Lee?
8/11 or three out of four stars
