What movies have you seen recently?

Deadpool 2 - It was OK. Didn't enjoy it as much as the first. Cabal was kinda boring. Fire-Fist was annoying. Domino was pretty good. The humour was decent for the most part.

Solo - 7.5/10 -- I enjoyed it. I enjoyed it more than The Last Jedi that is for sure. Its biggest weakness, IMO, is the dialogue. Was hoping it would have one of those bad-ass scenes like we saw with Darth Vader in Rogue One but that didn't happen, unfortunately.

What about Hairspray!? Amanda Bynes (greatest actress ever) AND Zac Efron!!!
Or Hedwig and the Angry Inch? Any movie about a sex change leaving a rock star with a one inch dick is pretty rad, right? Right!?!

Or Sweeny Todd! Rock of Ages? Cannibals the Musical? Team America! Little Shop of Horrors is one of my favorites. Nightmare Before Xmas gets regular playback in my house. And the Buffy musical Once More with Feeling. I loved Moulin Rouge back in the day too. I liked tangled, but I could really let Frozen go. Chicago and Burlesque are just rad...

La.La Land, left me feeking like everyone knew a secret that I wasn't let in on.

The opening number from the Legally Blonde musical is possibly the greatest and most important thing ever written (Magna Carta who?).

Musicals I hate: Into the Woods, Rent, Fame, Wizard of Oz, Dreamgirls. Sound of Music, especially. Access the Universe. Mamma Mia.

Here's your musical noobs.

Seriously, this is a cult film musical performed by The Mystic Knights of The Oingo Boingo (Danny Elfman) and directed by his brother Richard Elfman.

The film begins on "Friday, April 17" at 4 pm in Venice, California. Huckleberry P. Jones, local pimp, narcotics peddler and slumlord, enters a vacant house that he owns. While stashing heroin in the basement, he stumbles upon a mysterious door and enters it, falling into the Sixth Dimension, from which he promptly escapes. After retrieving the heroin, he sells the house to the Hercules family. On their way to school, Frenchy Hercules and her brother Flash have a conversation with Squeezit Henderson, who tells them that, while being violently beaten by his mother, he had a vision of his transgender sister René, who had fallen into the Sixth Dimension through the door in the Hercules' basement.

The trailer on YouTube is NSFW.

Mute (Netflix): Above average. Dark story with interesting characters. Ties to the classic sci-fi movie, Moon.

Strangers Prey at Night: Complete trash. Do not watch.

Gerald's Game - 6.5/10. It was alright. Gugino seemed out of her depth initially but quickly got into the role.

Incident in a Ghostland - It's crap. I was really disappointed because I really loved where it was going.. My main issue with it is that it's just too predictable. The twist is barely a twist by the time they show it. I don't even have a score for this. It's whatever.. Fck that ending too. What a waste.
Overboard - 6.2 It was ok. Eugenio Derbez's reactions to his ordeals and his family just really made me laugh.
A Quiet Place - 7.4 I really enjoyed it. It was pretty tense. Some people didn't like the ending, but I thought that was perfect.
Escobar - 6.4 It was a decent movie . Penelope Cruz was pretty funny in this. It's kinda hard to watch this and not put it up against Narcos though.

Gladiator extended cut 4k

Looks great in 4k and still one of my favourite films of all time.

The Disaster Artist just popped up on Netflix so I finally watched it. It was enjoyable.

Such a strange guy. Such a bad movie.

Black panther 4k

Found it even more boring this time and some of the already poor CGI isn't helped in 4k.

Andy Serkis is the best thing in this and BP just looks completely weak compared to how he was in Civil War

Yep. He was the best thing in Civil War for me. Then BP was a huge let down.

Solo - Better than Rogue One / 10

Darth Maul tho?!?!?!! I didn't watch The Clone Wars cartoon, but now I have high hopes that he's the enemy for the unannounced Obi-Wan movie. Seems like a no brainer

Absotutely! Rogue One's characters made me not really care about them, and didn't really get enjoyable for me until the action started 3/4th's the way through the movie.

I had no expectations going into Solo with all the negative reviews its gotten from fans. Was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed it.

Logan Lucky - 8/10 Channing Tatum, Kylo Ren, and James Bond rob a racetrack. I finally got around to watching it tonight on Amazon Prime. I’m surprised how good it was, a very entertaining heist film.
