What TV show have you seen recently ? Episode one

Peaky Blinders. Currently starting Season 2. Im enjoying it. 7.5/10

Plainview: Ton Hardy stars in the 2nd season.

EDIT update; just finished episode 3 of season 2 and man this show is hitting it's stride. So many great actors! Cillian Murphy is fantastic! Sam Neil is perfect as an antagonist (I recall how great he was at this in The Piano). and well Tom Hardy is Tom Hardy. He could just mumble non sequiturs and still command the screen.
if you havent seen it yet, please give it a go.

Has anyone been watching The OA?

Im on episode 3 and am loving it. I have like 30 theories on the go at once lol.

Will be watching it soon. Anything with Brit Marling in will always get a watch from me.
I just finished it.

And I'm torn between thinking it's brilliant and being pissed off.

She's pretty spectacular in this too. I'd never heard of her before now.

Yeah, she is usually is.

Movies of hers worth watching are Another Earth, Sound Of My Voice, and The East.

My wife is the TV watcher she is constantly trying to get me into series but I usually hold back. She did get me to finally watch Breaking Bad last year and Stranger Things & Westworld this year and am thankful for those, really great.

I went off to try to find my own series that I thought I would enjoy and "Red Oaks" on Amazon Prime caught my eye. I've gone through the 1st season and found it very enjoyable. Starting season 2 now.

Also my kids told me to watch "Black Mirror" on Netflix. The 1st one with the pig and the prime minister was crazy. But each unique episode does create some good talking points for the dinner table. Just beginning season 3 on this one.

I would recommend True Detectives season 1 (stand alone season) and Fargo season 1 and 2.

Narcos. Main character was not that interesting, however Javier, Horatio Carrillo and Pablo Escobar are all great.

The Hand of God (Amazon Prime) - A little quirky but solid overall. Tessie Graham <3
Troll Hunters (Netflix) - Surprisingly good for what it is. Solid animation, looks really good, story is good enough... I'd recommend.
The Man In The High Castle (Amazon) - I couldn't get past the first episode; not my cup of tea.
The Grand Tour (Amazon) - Legit. A excellent masturbatory way to break in a 4k set.
Ajin (Netflix) - Takes a while to get there but it's pretty solid.
Longmire (Netflix) - Solid show.
The Killing - First season is excellent, but drags on. Main character lady slowly gets hotter throughout the rest of the seasons. Would bone.
Bloodline - Top 3 show on Netflix easily. Super slow burner... like 4-5 episodes slow burn, then it's excellent. It's the visual equivalent of a book, where all of the plot and backstory, nuance isn't lost (that's the slow part) and it still has the satisfying story to move afterwards. Highly recommended.
F is for Family (Netflix) - Hilarious s***. You can binge through this fast and you'll be laughing at balls slapping in no time.
Sense 8 (Netflix) - A celebration of sexuality, high impact action and science fiction... like exactly what you'd expect from the Wachowskis. I enjoyed it.
Atlanta - Recommended. Donald Glover is hilarious and honestly the whole show is pretty great. Justin Bieber cameo.
BlackList - Starts off good, then gets a bit sitcomy after a while. Still recommend.
The Fall (Netflix) - A nice suspense/crime show. Scully gets naked in the first episode. Watch it.
Stranger Things (Netflix) - You know the drill. Excellent show. Nice beautifully shot vintage-4k experience. If you haven't watched it yet, quit being silly.
Narcos (Netflix) - Good show. I'm not sure how historically accurate it is, I'm really only familiar with the later parts of his life, but it seems convincing enough. Recommended.
Les Revenants (Netflix) - Not to be confused with the horses*** US remake you might run into called The Returned. Excellent show. AMAZING soundtrack. The US remake couldn't even get the soundtrack right for f***s sake.. some indie hipster bullocks. Subtitled French, but well worth it.
Fuller House (Netflix) - More like Fuller Blouse amirite?!! Watch this only for Stephanie Tanner's boobs, they are great.
Rectify - Solid story and really excellent acting all around. Maybe a bit depressing in a good way if that makes sense.
DC's Legends of Tomorrow (Netflix) - A bit meh, but also a bit okay. A watchable meh.
Black Mirror (Netflix) - Everyone refers to this as a modern take on The Twilight Zone and that is pretty spot on. Just with better acting all around and everything seems grounded in plausible technology and science. Really excellent.
Luke Cage (Netflix) - Missy Knight has godlike titties. Decent show, gets a bit stale half-way through the series, stops being compelling to finish. I still haven't, though if someone told me there was more Missy Knight sideboob I might go back.

That's all I got off of the top of my head. Netflix and League of Legends is why I can't finish any games.

Re: The Killing

Best reveal of information to a character when the mom found out her daughter was found dead. Overhearing through the phone as the husband yells at the scene.

Band of Brothers - Still good, but is overshadowed by the Pacific.

The Pacific - Fantastically awesome in every way.

Deadwood season 1 - Still awesome. “Those that doubt me, suck c*** by choice.”

Thanks for the list. Loved Black Mirror and Stranger Things. I will check out Bloodline and The Fall. I would suggest you check out Peaky Blinders and The Last Kingdom. Both on Netflix. Didnt think I would like these but ended up loving them. Solid acting. Its no coincidence that they keep filming more seasons.

Funny I just fired up Band of Brothers the other day and my mate was telling me to watch The Pacific, will check it out.

Watching Supergirl too, main character is cute as hell still undecided if I like it or not.

Ash vs Evil dead is bloody awesome!

Started this new series on exposing Scientology made by Leah Remini. Sounds fun sign me up... seriously though these crazy f***s need to go down for the stuff they do to their members. Watched another documentary about Scientology couple years ago and it was crazy some of the stuff that those people went through. Never knew much about all this until recently.

She is. Shame the show sucks. I was hoping it would go like the Flash and get better, but it didn't.

Speaking of The Killing I need to add seasons 3 and 4 to my watch list when I get Netflix. Enjoyed the first two seasons.

If you hear their origin story and still join then you deserve every f***ing thing you get.

There are some dumb people in this world that will follow anything blindly.

About to go start a cult I mean new religion. "I'm RICH B****!"
If it were still cool, I'd join it, but it's too late now. It's passe. It would be like joining Tay-tay's squad in 2017. Just sad.

Also, just watched season 1 of Transparent. Wow. Brilliant at times. Kinda feel like there's too much nudity, and the sex scenes are kind of unnecessarily gratuitous, considering there are soooo many of them.

ABC's The Whispers - Been binge watching this and am just pas halfway through and so far I have enjoyed it. The acting is a little spotty here and there, and some of the writing relative to how some of the children act is a bit silly.

I was looking forward to Lemony Snickets on Netflix. A bit into episode 2 and I honestly think it's kind of s*** compared to what I was expecting.

Don't like the dude from Seinfeld as the narrator/presenter, I feel like they wanted Jon Hamm for this role. And Doogie Howser is ok playing the Count but I feel like they could have done better there too. The other actors are fine. I enjoyed the movie version of this much more.

Also episode 2 starts off with a recap of episode 1 which is completely unnecessary, this isn't a weekly tv show I just f***ing watched the last episode! And the opening title song is annoying.

I hate it so much I'm going to watch the whole thing just to see how much I keep hating it. It's very highly rated and I'm holding out some hope that I'll get into it but not happening so far.

The show would be better without the narrator/presenter IMO, he's not funny.
