Xbox One X

relevance? that the devs can't seem to optimize it on the x?

Yep, you have convinced me...the PS4 is far superior. lol

Sorry to be a smart ass, but this is an xbox thread, and in no manner ever did I say "wow, the EA ACCESS app is a buggy mess on the X, but how does it compare to the PS4 guys?"

It is odd tho that one system the app is laggy and pauses a lot, and the other not.

This is the sarcasm font, incidentally.

But I did neglect to close-caption for the sarcasm impaired, so here's the closed-captioned version:

You never hear about EA Access running slow on the PS4 though because EA Access is not available on the PS4.

Woosh.....

Any of you got your One X behind a closed media cabinet? Does it get too hot? Thinking of moving mine into an enclosed cabinet. Also does it work well with IR extensions to control the TV and AV equipment. Thanks in advance.

Microsoft Is Not Fooling Around When It Comes To Games And Hardware According To Undead Labs Designer Director | SegmentNext
Microsoft has acquired a couple of new studios and according to Undead Labs the company is not fooling around when it comes to games and hardware. It looks like the company is pretty serious about competing with Sony this time around and we could see some new titles and impressive hardware when it comes to the next Xbox. According to Microsoft:
“This acquisition signals Microsoft’s and Undead Labs’ commitment to growing the State of Decay franchise and continuing to deliver the ultimate zombie survival experiences for fans, both those new to the franchise and those already dedicated to the community”,
Undead Labs designer director went into further detail regarding the matter and according to Undead Labs designer director Richard Foge:
“It’s still kinda early days in terms of what that’s going to shape up to be. I get the impression I’m going to be working on State of Decay for the foreseeable future. I think in my personal opinion, Microsoft is swinging for the fences. They’re not fooling around, they really want to be on top, they want to be on top with the best games, the best hardware and making people happy.” He goes on to explain that while he’s not sure how they’d react if he brought an absurd pitch, he knows that “they’re not messing around.”
Microsoft has already teased the that the next Xbox is being worked on and we might see some impressive hardware from the company. We do not know when the device will be coming out but we do know that the PS5 is expected to come out around 2020, so that should be the window for the next Xbox as well.
We have some information regarding the next Xbox and you can click here to learn moreabout the upcoming console from Microsoft.
Let us know what you think about this approach that Microsoft is taking and whether or not you agree with the how the company is dealing with things.

The ol' sarcasm detector needs a little tuning.... Plainview even made a special sarcasm font, just for hrudey.

True, sadly I never miss it at all on PS4 and have barely used it on the One X, still runs like s*** there though :p

He's definitely joking, because there is no EA access on PS4 :laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::sad:

My One X gets so loud playing Wolfenstine 2 that I have to quit. Anyone else have a certain game that makes your One X sound like it wants to take off ?

Thanks for the info. I've been looking for a solution to the One X's 4K audio captures going out of sync. Sadly, there still isn't. I might have to get the Live Gamer Ultra, unless there's an Elgato 4k capture device releasing for console soon.

The menu's in State of Decay 2 make mine really loud.

When I first got the X on release day, Mass Effect Andromeda would make mine sound like it was going to take off. Fan was literally running top speed, Then, any game I played would do it. I performed a hard reset, and since then I haven't had a game do it again. And yes, the fans are still running. I can hear the cooling, but only if my ear is to the case.

my One X is the quietest console i have ever owned (aslong as its not reading off a disc)

My One X has never went into overdrive.

I play mostly digital though.

Regardless of the delivery method we all play digitally, games only play off of the HDD this gen.

At the end of Ori and the Glitched Forest(great game besides the achievement glitches) and one of my last achievements is glitched for restoring all the map stones. The game wouldn't even work when i first booted it up. Crashed my Xbox while booting so had to do a power cycle and had to do it a few times after that when i'd continue my game just to get it booted up. I hate this console. Half the games i've played this gen on Xbox have had glitched achievements or the entire console crashes and needs a power cycle. Screw your cross-play Microsoft. Worry about fixing your own console before you try and come on ours.

Whaaaa?.... I'm pretty sure Andy's comments about the console cease fire weren't a lamentation....

So this screenshot floating around of Crash running on Xbox One X, 4k goodness.

Not true as disk based games use files from both.

They load the entire game onto the HDD, the only reason the disc has to be in the console if you didn't buy it digitally is to prove that you actually own it. Maybe during the initial process it pulls files from both but once it's installed it's all played from the HDD.

Edit:
In many cases the files that install are smaller than whats on the bluray disk and that's where the confusion is.

I.e. say a bluray is 45 gb and the install size is 35 gb.
This happens some times.

I never played a Crash game, only played that level that was added to UC4 and didn't care for running towards the screen. It's great for people who are fans of that series that they've gotten these updated versions to play though. I know I'm looking forward to the new Spyro remakes, never played the originals but these look fun.
