Wow. Good catch Andy. That guy has to be one of the biggest Try Hards on internet.
Plainview saw him during registration. We talked. We're all watching him closely. He's been warned.

Got to say, you are pretty lenient. Planview would have just banned his new user account permanently.
My tv supports Object-based HDR remaster and which can simulate HDR with non HDR sources so i should benefit from this.Halo 5 is getting "limited" HDR according to Frankie. They couldn't do full HDR because Halo 5 was pre HDR and they have to touch every asset again:
Yes you’re right. You’ll definitely see significant benefits from running on HDR sets, and of course the game itself renders in 4k and takes advantage of higher resolution textures (will be a serious download) and assets, but HDR specifically was tricky for a couple of reasons specific to H5 – the first being of course that it’s two years old and it’s not just a switch – you have to “touch” all the content. The game was developed during the period HDR systems were still being ironed out. Even now there’s a bunch of 10 bit/Dolby Vision etc issues for consumers.
This was largely resolved in time for Halo Wars 2, and so the HDR implementation for that will be full since the game was built from scratch to support it.
The second – and from my perspective more important aspect is that Halo in particular has color symmetry on level designs as an aspect of balance and matchmaking. One side is blue and one side is red, often in fairly subtle ways. We already balance for that difference and applying changes retroactively would be a test issue at a grander scale than many other games. So we made the choice to concentrate on other IQ aspects for the update.
Based on O’Connor’s answer, Halo 5 on Xbox One X won’t support real HDR, but TV screens that support the technique, will see some “significant” benefits.

Halo 5 is my favorite SP of the Halo games. As for MP, I have probably spent a half hour in total playing it....dead....the entire time....I never touched the Halo5 MP it's always felt like a club your not invited into....if that makes sense...and the SP was garbage.
However I will give this a chance 2nd time around....can't replay the SP again though

Halo 5 is crack when it clicks. I actually did not like it much at all after the beta. It didn't feel like Halo. Then it clicked and I couldn't stop.
Halo 5 does have a netcode issue for a lot of people. On Halo forums early on, a lot of people quit complaining about the aiming and something feeling off. There is nothing wrong with the gameplay when it's running clean online. After obsessive research, discovered a lot of ISPs have issues syncing up consistnetly and it feels off to those people. People who had ISP issues quit a long time ago thinking something was broken about the gameplay. People without those issues loved it. I'm one of those people who've experienced it both ways because it clicked with me when I visited my parents and played it on their internet.
343's netcode people are not very good as they can't seem to code to work for all ISPs evenly.
So if your netcode agrees with the game, it's worth giving it a shot. Most balanced multiplayer on consoles IMO. Hopefully 343 has a new netcode team by the time Halo 6 comes out.
Agreed that Halo 5 MP is like crack, even with a sometimes wonky connection it's wicked fun.
I gave him a chance on a very small string.Got to say, you are pretty lenient. Planview would have just banned his new user account permanently.
One thing's for sure. No matter how many times these perma-banned guys get banished, they always come back.
Ok, consider yourself warned. This is the kind of thing you need to steer clear of. Coming into the Xbox thread and talking about how Sony is better.
Wrong. Bzzzt.
I'm thread banning you, too, for a couple weeks. Trolling after being warned? Not smart.
Btw, for anyone who doesn't know, this is Puppet, aka Mikewarrior, aka Gaming Prophet.
I got an email from Best Buy saying the pre-orders were back on for a limited time (non scorpio)Yeah. I was going to say his posting style was sounding familiar.
**On topic**
Is the Xbox One X still up for preorder?
Indeed. It runs like complete ass even on the best PC.Terrible optimizations that game has....

Meanwhile they still can't be bothered to fix MCC
What's so busted with it still? I haven't played it much since 5 came out, though I played it a ton before, and the only mode that was still phuk'd was BTB. We had no problem with all the other PvP modes near the end.
Think I called it
