I don't see any slowdown anywhere. I watched 4-5 minutes of that. Where's the problem?

The fact that turning on AA tanks the performance of a dual 980 system below playable levels at 1080P is the issue, this game is as well optimised as a wet blanket.

Where does that happen in the video?

He talks about it in the video, did you not listen?.

I watched the video, and didn't listen to it.

I didn't watch the whole video, but the performance looked fine.

So again, where's the performance problem? Tell me, please.

He talks about people having performance problems, and the game not even being playable on triple SLI 980's at UHD resolutions, you need to listen to, to understand what he is saying. He doesn't show it, who wants to see a laggy mess of a game?.

Wha! You actually have to listen to somebody trying to express their opinion/impressions. That sounds like such hard work.

Oh! WOW! That video was stunning! Seemed stable also. Hopefully by the time I get this the kinks will be ironed out.

So i just watched this video and i am like....framedrops and pop ups? Where?!!!! In this video both of that looks rather good...is this PC or actually X1?

Even in this review video it looks fine.....but if i understand comments on forums correctly, it's a trainwreck.......

When 900p is more playable than 1080? I've had to negotiate with resolutions since I was 13 playing Counterstrike...or was it Cannon fodder.

I'd rather beautiful experience with features than a beige one that's pixel perfect... Then again, I'd rather a stable one.

If people are enjoy iii ng this game, I hope you love it! To people that aren't enjoying it... Move on. Let people enjoy their fun. Return your copy. Share you voice via sales. :)

The lower the resolution the more cpu dependent a game becomes.
Them lowering the PS4 version to 900p reduced one of the PS4's advantages which is its gpu/usage.

I actually came across my first major glitch. A man was sitting in a tree rocking back and forth with it growing through him. This happened probably 8 hours in. I cant play it anymore, it ruined my immersion! Nah actually I recorded it and can't wait to show my daughter later, like she did for me with dozens of Black flag glitches.

well if thats true, thats good for xb1. games going forward are going to have more taxing attributes, more polygons etc, so these weak consoles will have to make sacrifices, hell they already are and 900p will be forced on them.

btw I'd like a link that says that running a game @ 1080p is easier on ps4 than 900p

Because at 1080p a game is more gpu dependent.

SLI'd 980s with 10 Tflops of computing power and 32GB of DDR4 can't overcome a dog CPU @1080p, but PS4 and it's Cerny wizard jizz will do the trick... okay.

thats the problem i have with PS4 fanboys.. they think because its more powerful than xbox one it is some super machine.. no its just a less s*** machine (regards to specs)

Yeah cause the PC version is programmed the same way as the consoles

Console versions are programmed with the weaker Xbox One in mind.

PC is the lead platform for Unity.

You're talking out of your ass sir.

From that video that had an actual voice reviewing the problems of the game, I think he's right. The problem with the game seems to manifest with AA turned on, and wizard jizz coating the GPU naturally repulses jaggies, so no AA is needed.

I posted a GPU w/ no-AA performance analysis a few pages ago.

Edit: my Derp, lol. Skimmed.

Perfect post.

Ah, so the video indeed shows 18 minutes of gorgeous, smooth gameplay.

Got it.

The PS4's performance already drops to the teens in frame rate, and can't maintain a steady 30fps. While it's unlikely a small pixel increase would introduce any further performance hits, it's likely the jump to 1080p would... And people are already complaining about PS4's perf.

No, Ubi probably had its hands full just trying to overcome PS4's CPU bottleneck, and didn't want to introduce further perf problems or risk.

Will probably use the money for something else. Maybe buy the game later when it hits a lower price.

Hmmm! but if they upped the resolution to 1080P then the already very low & unstable FPS would be worse. I am curious though, could they not have off-set some of the CPU tasks to the GPU on PS4 ?

The CPU is a bottleneck for both systems, and that won't change.
