I'm enjoying the game. I'm surprised at how long it is.
I downshifted to normal difficulty, after playing most of the game on hard, because I was getting tired of the turn-based fighting mechanics. I've never liked turn-based fighting much. It's okay here and there, but a lot of it gets tedious to me. Turning the difficulty down enables me to focus on the other parts of the game without worrying about all that stuff (oculi, buffs, resistances, party members, strategery, etc.).
The parts of the game I enjoy the most are the other stuff -- the art, the music, the environments, the story, the characters and their interactions. The rhyming dialog feels forced sometimes, but it does have its charms and adds to the fairy tale feeling. I also like how Aurora animates when she's falling through the air -- her little arms and legs waving around make me smile.
I'm beginning Chapter 10, which I think is the last one. I'll probably finish up tonight or tomorrow. Good game.
