Looks like a really interesting game. Beautiful art, classy aesthetic, mix of RPG and platforming, made by some Ubisoft guys connected with Far Cry 3.

Release date: 4/30. Coming to PS3/4, X1/360, PC, WiiU.

Ah, didn't realize this was coming to X1. Looks sweet. I want to play it.

I have never heard of this game but love the art style and it looks pretty unique

Also loving the art style of this game. I'm not that much of a fan of turn base type combat but am still intrigued by this.

Awesome, can't wait to play this. Also glad Ubi is releasing Rayman Legends later this month on PS4/XB1 as I never got around to playing it and the game seems to really deserve a second chance.

Stopped watching at Turn based combat. Not a big fan of it. Nor a big fan of these side scrollers either.

Love the art style. I keep it on my rader.

Hope the game is beefy, & not 2-3 hours game.

I'm not a big fan of turn-based combat, but I've enjoyed it in a few games, and I expect I'll like it here well enough. I like the fact that this is coming from some of the Far Cry 3 designers. The skill trees look pretty elaborate, so do the crafting possibilities. Seems to offer a lot of depth for a little game. The art style, story, and characters give off a nice vibe. I'm looking forward to it.

When Aurora fell ill she found her soul transported from her home to the magical kingdom of Lemuria where the Black Queen had stolen the Sun, the Moon and the Stars. Child of Light is one of Ubisoft’s new downloadable titles announced at Digital Days. Like Valiant Hearts: The Great War, it’s being built on the UbiArt Framework, the same tool used to make Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends.

I think this game looks pretty awesome, thought so ever since I first heard about it. I'll most definitely be getting it.

For those who can't watch the vid right now, does it mention a release date or price?

Found details on IGN:

Release date: April 30th
Price: $14.99

Consider it bought.

It's like Limbo Meets Dust: An Elysian Tail on ICO's world. Too much beautiful for my taste.

Not that will stop me from buying it on release day...

Yeah, looks quite nice. Will wait for a next-gen console before I play.

I saw this tagged on the Xbox dash the other day, it seems interesting enough to give it a shot and the art style is completely awesome. +1

A spate of previews just came out. Here is a sampler.

Gamespot:

"Child Of Light is a game that's filled with charm and joyfulness. No matter how much I pondered about it having a deeper set of RPG mechanics, or battles with a more challenging set of opponents, I couldn't help but be utterly smitten by it. And if that happened after just a few hours, lord knows what a mushy mess I'll be when I get my hand on the finished game. Can't wait."

The Escapist:

"Child of Light is a game absolutely brimming with charm. While some games are built and others are designed, Child of Light feels like a game that has been lovingly crafted. From picturesque visuals, whimsical characters and clever wordplay, every detail has been worked over by some masterful hands."

GameZone:

"I had to deal with several stressful hours at airports, in planes, and in cars just to play Child of Light for a few minutes, but it was all worth the trouble. Throughout the time I spent playing, I was captured by the game's poetic storytelling, delightful art style, enjoyable platforming, and entertaining battles."

Awesome. I'm very excited for this. Hope it's decently long.

Lemuria trailer:

I noticed that it is available for preorder on PS3, which is the first time I noticed that option for a strictly downloadable title. Seems kind of odd. There's some kind of minor bonuses available.

Child of Light meets Shadow of the Colossus?!

Making of, part 3. Talks about story, character, and words. It looks great to me. Almost makes me want to buy a next-gen console to play it, but I'll wait. Review embargo ends Monday. Hopefully it will review well.

Definitely looks like a great title. The art style is amazing.

Judging from Rayman Legends (which runs on the same engine), there is probably zero reason not to get this on the PS3.

Here is what DF had to say about Rayman:
Outside of a few new characters and limited use of the touchpad on the PS4's Dual Shock 4, there's no real reason to upgrade to the Xbox One and PS4 versions of Rayman Legends if you already own the game on other formats. Visual upgrades are close to non-existent and the experience is basically the same as the existing PS3, Xbox 360 and PC version of the game. Even the audio remains in stereo - just as it did on all the other versions we've tested. However, if you've yet to take the plunge the PS4 and Xbox One editions offer up a further opportunity to play what was undoubtedly one of the finest games of 2013.
