Dragon Age: Inquisition - Nov. 18

Agreed on the items. I pick up stuff I constantly can't use. It's kinda annoying.

You can disengage, on the Xbox it's the left bumper and then you can select the disengage option. It helps a lot because sometimes my AI characters will shoot at Rams and other wildlife and chase them down.

Haha. I have a thing for red heads. My standard has always been red hair, red eyes and fair skin. Not too pale, not too dark. That's my character Tera.

Isn't it hilarious when your party goes on a goat murdering rampage across the hills of the Hinterlands? Lol

Good tip about disengage. I had that problem earlier. My party would charge into an enemy-occupied area in pursuit of some rams. Thanks, guys, I wasn't really planning on fighting that mob yet, but here we go (and meanwhile the rams run off).

Another tip: before you sell your junk/valuables, make sure to check in at the research desk and deposit any relevant items. A lot of people seem to be treating the "valuables" category as equivalent to the "junk" category in previous games and selling everything. The valuables category holds junk but also research items, which eventually grant combat bonuses against particular enemies. You'll want to turn those in first, before selling all your "junk."

Now, there's something I need to do. I keep anything that says something about research, but I have no idea where to take it. Is it somewhere in Haven?

Edit: nevermind, I found it in the Haven castle. Don't know how I missed it.

I'm only about 8 hours in so far, but damn. This game is a blast. Hinterlands is overwhelming for the first few hours. I didn't expect to get bombarded with new quests every time I turned around, but it was nice having everything marked on the map.

Ok, I am roughly 5 hours away from having the game, is there something I absolutely should know and be looking for when I start this game ? Some sort of early loot I absolutely must have. Some sort of quest I absolutely should not bypass..etc ?

I was wondering where you were. Let's see if we can get this thread to 50 pages.

It's midnight, so I need to call it quits, but I'm hooked.

Nothing I can think of -- nothing you don't know already, anyhow (e.g., make sure you like your character and class). The game pretty much guides you during the first few hours, so there isn't much to do except go along for the ride. When you get to Haven, make sure you find the several people you're supposed to find (blacksmith, apothecary, etc.). Also, I liked talking to all the characters before we set out for the Hinterlands. I got to know them a little. That's personal preference, though.

I am thinking I might try co-op first and try out all 3 classes before I commit to one.

I plan to fully scour each area before I move on, but I may get impatient and start going here there and everywhere. I just want make sure I do not miss something important or awesome early on.

Can someone explain to me how crafting works? I have weapons with empty rune slots and materials like iron ore, but I've no idea how make Mods for my weapons and armour?

Man,screw this game's CC. I just can't decide on how grizzled I want my knight...

Hmmm, things did not start of well. Installed it, clicked to connect to server and it crashed. Shut it down, restarted, changed one or two things in the options, and it crashed again :smash: since then though all has been fine. FPS is little unstable but nothing game breaking.

I made a chick in character creator and she looked hot. Once the game started rolling it revealed her ugly side, which apparently is every side  I do not care though. I have enjoyed the little I have played so far.

To me the key in making sure the character looks consistent is making enough gap between the eyes. It made my character look a lot better when seen from the side.

Fought my first High Dragon last night. Died twice trying to take it down. They really boosted how tough dragons are in this game. Had to really strategize everyone's role.

Was that in the Hinterlands? What level were you and your party?
