nah people are just going around claiming 1080p, not 1080p on ultra settings quality. 1080p on s*** settings still looks like s***. People like to quantify 1080p as being meaningful, that it is indicative of a game being of better quality when it's not, there is a whole lot more to the picture then resolution alone.

his assertions that almost every X1 game is 720p or 900p (I believe this)

MS paying devs to show games only on X1(this is a given)

DRM getting "worse "(if it wasn't for the PS4 being as hot as it was MS wouldn't of did all of those 180's)

and now claims he didn't even believe (CoD @ 720p) being passed off as confirmed when he was the sole source! (I believe COD G is 720p)

True. I mean you look at games like COD or GTA 4 where the xbox version was superior either graphics/performance or content and yet sales were fairly split. I believe in this day and age console sales and game sales are no longer done on an individual basis, but by groups of friends ( real life or Live).

Not really fair comments.

1. Wii U doesn't exactly have an abundance of quality software, and your logic falls flat when you consider the Wii. This obviously shows that graphics are not the be and end all for a crap ton of people. Those people include many gamers on forums such as this.

2. Improved graphics is inevitable, but I think you would find most are more interested in the potential advancement in other areas and the prospect of new Ip's.

I think that actually started with the 360, they said "we have the more balanced system" every time someone brought up the PS3 supposedly being more powerful.

You believe this because...why? There is literally nothing suggesting it is true other than the GAF 'insiders' who have been wrong repeatedly and the 'journalists' who cite them on twitter as their source.

Not at E3. Sony was the one doing that (Ubisoft, for instance).

1) DRM was always better than CBOAT claimed in the first place (he claimed no used games [false] and Family Share was 60min demos [false]).

2) It didn't get worse in the way he claimed, the mechanism he claimed would get much worse went away entirely.

3) MS's change had nothing to do with what PS4 actually is and everything to do with taking away FUD talking pts amongst core gamers and the ignorant enthusiast press.

Back on topic. Both consoles are going to have great graphics, and if one is a little greater than the other, well, I can live with that.:txbsmile:

The insiders have said things, then notable people in the industry who read gaf are passing it along on twitter or articles, and then GAF is posting them as confirmations to the earlier rumours/leaks lol wth.

This time next month their traffic will drop off a cliff while everyone who really doesn't give a s*** is playing the games instead of bickering on the internet :)
 
All these resolution debates with unconfirmed info. All to really hide the fact PS4 is down to Knack and KZ as the exclusives, while X1 has many more. Including the only 1080p/60fps full budget game.... Forza 5.

Day 1 patch for PS4 would apparently also remove.....here we go....DRM. Yes yes...Sony..our hero, our savior that was all for the gamer, lmao. Some farfetched and exaggerated things in there too.
