And that is a pipedream, by the end of 2014 the WiiU will be in a bad place sales wise.I told you already by the end of 2014 Wii U will have higher lifetime sales then the XBO.

If there is ever a time for a Boobie shake, it would be now.
Hmmm... X1 on shelves for one year, Wii U for two years. A possibility Wii U will sell more.I told you already by the end of 2014 Wii U will have higher lifetime sales then the XBO.

Interestingly, I've seen you make this claim before, but have never said anything like.... what about X1 vs Wii U sales by end of 2015 or longer , which will make the on shelf comparison at 3 vs 2, 4 vs 3, 5 vs 4 etc...
If you honestly think the X1 is dead in the water right from launch then sorry but you need to give your head a shake. Nintendo f'ed up with the WiiU, it has no interest, no hype, nothing to propel it forward but a couple of first party franchises. It doesn't have the je na sais quoi that the Wii had. By the end of the launch window (so march or so next year) I'd say both the X1 and PS4 will have met or exceeded the WiiU's total sales.By 2015 it will be even more likely..I can make that claim
You really think the WiiU has a chance? Sorry I just don't see it, they had a dismal launch, and it's only fizzled out since then. They will probably get some sales during the holidays of course, but outside of that I don't see them getting much between this holiday season and next holiday season, especially with all the top games coming out on better platforms, Nintendo's 1st party games just aren't cutting it anymoreWithout a major price drop I don't see XBO having better lifetime sales then the Wii U NOPE.
Nintendo and Sony will as usual battle for 1st place with MS as usual in 3rd.
True. I mean you look at games like COD or GTA 4 where the xbox version was superior either graphics/performance or content and yet sales were fairly split. I believe in this day and age console sales and game sales are no longer done on an individual basis, but by groups of friends ( real life or Live).
Not really fair comments.
1. Wii U doesn't exactly have an abundance of quality software, and your logic falls flat when you consider the Wii. This obviously shows that graphics are not the be and end all for a crap ton of people. Those people include many gamers on forums such as this.
2. Improved graphics is inevitable, but I think you would find most are more interested in the potential advancement in other areas and the prospect of new Ip's.
All these resolution debates with unconfirmed info. All to really hide the fact PS4 is down to Knack and KZ as the exclusives, while X1 has many more. Including the only 1080p/60fps full budget game.... Forza 5.
Not sure it would be entirely fair to compare games that have a year apart in launch time, a year in which the devs can use to get more aquainted with the tools, not working on a moving target, and possibly more mature updated tools as well.I'm really curious how Halo 5 will stack up to killzone.
In all seriousness If MS can get the ipad parent to jump to the XBO then I could be wrong. You really think the WiiU has a chance? Ok then, Well only time will tell. No matter what happens I'm going to have fun playing gamesIn all seriousness If MS can get the ipad parent to jump to the XBO then I could be wrong.
I am betting otherwise though.
As for all the other stuff blowing up over the weekend, I will make one small comment: There is a really bizarre phenomenon going on right now where the frenzy for news, drama, and behind-the-scenes dealings is clouding logic and reason. There is nothing going on behind the scenes nearly as interesting as everyone would like to believe. We are a month away from launch, and people are working hard to finalize the last of the bugs. There are still a lot things left to be done. We’re crunching and I’m sure Sony’s crunching too.
I know people are excited. I’m sorry but things are nowhere near as dire or dramatic or exciting as everyone would like to believe. That’s why I’m not commenting on every single random rumor that comes along, because everything I see is so drastically overblown vs. reality.

I think though that MS's approach has been to target the 'ipad parent' as you put it, and families in general. The obviously had their eyes set on broadening their target market so we will have to see if that pays off. If MS can do what everything thinks they are doing (making that singular ecosystem with shared marketplaces and bringing W8 games/apps to the X1) then I think they might have a really good shot at it.
He works for MS, of course he'd say thatHere's what Albert Penello recently posted:
They may not, but I think that's where MS is targeting.Well the ipad parent usually pays $400-$600 so it is possible that those parents will drop $500 on a all in one game machine(as XBO offers allot).
I don't see families in general doing it though...
I think you are going to be very upset when X1 comes out on top at the end of the next gen cycle. In all seriousness If MS can get the ipad parent to jump to the XBO then I could be wrong.

Price will drop over time as it's BoM drops, and with MS's economies of scale that BoM should drop quick enough to see a price drop within the first 2 years.Drop that price and they reach a much broader spectrum.
After over 30 years of playing and following gaming I can tell you without any doubt in my mind.......I think you are going to be very upset when X1 comes out on top at the end of the next gen cycle.
I have a feeling you would have said the same thing 8 years ago regarding the Wii if you were told the same thingAfter over 30 years of playing and following gaming I can tell you without any doubt in my mind.......
THAT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN

$150 cheaper USD although over $200 for me. My 360 launch unit was $500 in Canada..probably why the price this time doesn't phase menope cause Wii was around $200 cheaper... I hoped it would have ended fast though.(loathe it)
Then have a talk with those that started the agenda, not those who are tired of the cr@p being spun.Feels like it's getting pretty ticklish in here.

I'm sorry, didn't mean to come off as combative to you. Just usually when you do say things (and usually appropriately I will add), I just hope the correct "surveillance" takes place.I think you interpreted my comment as some kind of warning. No, I'm just commenting on the fact that people are doing a lot of fanboy bickering. No rule against that. It's a bunch of arguing about trivia, but I guess that's what people who enter a thread like this are interested in participating in, so have at it. We shut down the tickle fight thread, so this stuff has to erupt somewhere.
