Official Thread For Honor

I'd say from the looks of it, and the skill required to play, it won't sell that well. However, I could see a (relatively) small number of gamers being very into it in the competitive space potentially.
It will cater to a small group but again the learning curve is to high. No one going to put time into that. The menu it self is a joke.

lol...

Stopping being so silly. If the game is to hard for you that's fine. But I think you'll find plenty of gamers like a challenge and are more than capable of mastering games with a steep learning curve. Dark Souls says hello....

i do agree with the menus. They are kind of crappy but you get used to them quick enough. Overall I think Ubisoft needs to look at their UI presentation.

This game is tough. Totally. It takes some serious concentration to win a fight. Reading your opponent's attack can be hard especially if you're in a crowd.

Dude i play dark souls and i feel i have a much better chance than this game. And im the one who complains about dark souls which the 3rd one is my favorite!

Its waaaaaaay to much time for that. Im fine if you like it but that game will not get a second version when they are so many better games out there.

Maybe, maybe not. I hope it does well but it's only a game either way so if it doesn't, yeah there are plenty of other good games. I was laughing at your 'game is to hard' comment. There are three directions for you watch. It's challenging alright but too hard to play?? ...nah...

Yeah it really does. I've only managed to beat two on one maybe three or four times. On the KD I'm about 70% win/loss which isn't to bad at all although I certainly don't feel like I do that well.

I will give it another chance but the people I played online was like rank 20 and didn't give me any room. Their sword was always on fire and I never get a fair chance. EVERRRR!

I actually have a better time playing on 1v1. More focused and I'm not surrounded by foot soldiers getting in my f***ing way.

Rank 20??? I haven't seen anyone that high yet. Not sure why you find guys with a sword on fire. There is no character that has any ability like that.

Ah see i found something that you didnt. I did a 2v2. The one player was fair but this one samurai was lvl 20 and his sword goes into flames when he make his 3rd strike.

Really? Never seen that. I don't really play brawl. I need to look at that character tomorrow.

Oh my god. f*** this game. I can't get a kill for s***. No matter what Hero I use EVERYONE I fight seems to have the upper hand. They're faster, land every blow, and block all of my attacks no matter how fast or patient i am. I can chain moves from every direction but yet they'll still block and counter. I don't know if it's lag or I just suck balls. This game really needs dedicated servers.

Haven't seen much lag. What game mode are you playing? I went 10-0 in one game with the Warlord in one game playing Dominion. Did you try PvE? I also don't try anything to fancy. Usually I'll just brute force my way though most fights. I have seen some seriously skilled players though. Came up against one guy who was using the Peacekeeper so absolutely destroyed me repeatedly.

I'm getting better at the game. I used to get dominated but once I found my role of defending instead of attacking, I learned the game faster. The game does have one heck of a learning curve but it does feel different than anything else out. I do echo the wish of dedicated servers though. I've been kicked out of a few games due to Ubisoft server issues.

Awesome looking game. But slapping each other around wasn't as much fun. Its difficult finding the enemy heroes when the cannon fodder is around. I know they are including a single player campaign but I also know there is heavy emphasis on multiplayer so I don't think the campaign will be that expansive. Overall I'd say this caters to the competitive multiplayer junkies out there. That's not really my thing these days but you guys have at it and have fun. If the campaign turns out great I'll get this down the line when it hits the bargain bin.

This game makes me rage more than Dark Souls 1 did. I came very close to throwing my controller across the room.

Yeah the servers can be real crappy. It kinda needs dedicated but I doubt that will happen at this stage. I had a few games now where someone left a session and the whole thing crashed or just plain froze up. It's about my only real complaint so far.

I really like the concept of the game. Unfortunately, for me you really need to practice to be competitive and that's the problem. There's not enough time in the day for me to get better at this game.

Yeah I'm surprised by the amount of depth there is to the combat.

I play 50/50 against the Bots. While they can be challenging they are easier overall than human opponents. Just when I think I'm getting good, I see a proper player who utterly destroys me! I'm terrible at using the assassin classes as well. Give me the Viking Raider or the Warlord and I'll just brute force my way through combat.

I played a couple of the alphas and thought the game showed promise. I don't know if it was because I was getting tired or what but beta did absolutely nothing for me. Couldn't help but think the entire time I played it that I'd rather be playing Nioh. This game just doesn't seem like it will have the legs to keep me entertained for very long. I'll probably get it down the road at some point to play campaign but chances of me buying this anytime soon is unlikely.

Its player hosted...I even had host migration happen when players left.

I'll even admit the controls seem fine. This is almost like a fighting game and I'm really bad at them. I try to execute what I want, but I'm much slower in my delivery. If I react too fast, then I'm basically mashing the buttons. It's not the game's fault. I've watched people play and they are terrific at it. I'm sure I could continue to practice and be a bit better. I just don't have the patience and time for it. Again, the game is different and there seems to be a decent amount of good attention it's receiving.
