Polygon: CoD: Ghosts. Say X1>PS4 version. VG PS4>X1.

700,000 means nothing now, but i doubt they had the money to start up polygon without the 700,00
So, like the post I made before that posed the following, do you feel that Polygon was paid to say the Xbox One version is their slightly better choice for this one game? Are the others that have echoed the same are paid by MS as well? Are the only ones to be believed that are being truthful are the ones that have pegged the PS4 as the console of choice for CoD: Ghosts?

the resolution difference is rendered meaningless all things considered

If it's meaningless, then why do 1080p at all?
Why is Turn10 trumpeting the fact they're running 1080p? Why'd they even bother?
Why not just cut the resolution another 50% to 480p, and upscale it? Free up some power for more effects and 120fps?

Can't wait to hear people say "Meh, I can't tell the difference between 1080p and 4k...

no, of course not. but i do think that the differnt scores was just click bait, so that neogaf would go crazy and the site would get a lot of traffic. And IMO it is just as equally bad.

I'm told that Infinity Ward is working on a patch to correct the performance issues. As our review currently doesn't apply to the PS4 version of the game--I want to play that and the Xbox One version on real multiplayer servers before assigning it a number--I'm going to see if that patch makes its way live this week and see if it helps. Currently, I'd call it a toss up between the Xbox One and PS4 versions--the Xbox One version has a smoother frame rate, but I'd rather play the game on a Dual Shock 4. Getting that frame rate pegged would definitively swing things in the PS4's direction, even over the PC version, which is sort of a mess.

So Microsoft bribed Polygon with $700,000 to rate XB version of COD .5 above PS4. I though I heard it all but this takes the biscuit, LOL.

It sounds weak for anyone posting a review to say anything to the effect of "It's possible that the PS4 version looked somewhat sharper, but that may have just been my imagination after confirming the hard resolution difference." That just makes them look stupid. IGN video shows one version is sharper than the other, watch the IGN video, need a link?

Another problem I have would be "Ghosts suffers from consistent framerate drops on the PS4" as opposed to "the odd minor hiccup" from IGN.

If it is true that the frame drops are consistent, then Polygon should have had no issue showing us that in motion. Right? Did they? I don't know, I'm asking.

Relax, I told you that he's taken money before, not that he did now, how am I reaching exactly? why so edgy?

You're coming across really tense right now, ease up. I'm not physically fighting you man. lol

Post the IGN link.

I've only seen the SIXAXIS video so far and they both looked pretty similar in that.

Not tense here. If you're not trying to allude that Polygon was paid to alter the review, the fact that money was received in the past is of no merrit unle you're trying to use it to make a point. I didn't watch the video. I don't like to watch comparison videos online. None seem to be of high enough quality. I'd prefer static screen captures.

No clue if they posted a comparison video. I didn't see one in the review. You should ask them for one to verify their claims. While their "imagination," quote doesn't sit well with you it's along the lines of what we've heard in the past could of weeks that don't judge a game based on the resolution numbers and wait until you see both in motion.

We're talking about a specific game here. Please don't pick and choose parts of my post to try and lay claim I'm stating something else or talking about something outside of this game. It was a very specific statement about this game. I'm not sure why that needs to be explained.

PV we'll have to agree to disagree considering you refuse to watch video that strengthens my stance.

Full screen it and set it to 1080p
If I can't watch a video at full resolution on my computer and it stutters along why would I watch the video? It provides no benefit and I'd rather see static screen captures so I can critique. I looked at the video another guy had on YouTube. I saw zero difference. I know that's not possible so I'm not using it as a source for be not seeing any difference.

I can hardly see a difference, its a wash but I'll rather the Xbox One version for the better frame rates, early access to DLC, controller and dedicated servers on Live.

Ok, so considering your PC can't view the video, then just leave it, but I have evidence to defend my stance even if you disagree with it, unfortunately you can't really argue your stance against mine because your PC can't handle the video at full resolution.

Agree or disagree with me, but I do have supporting evidence for myself.

It's hard to keep up with CBoat, which rumor?

720p.

Edit. on second thought, maybe that wasn't him? i dunno. too many insider rumors.

Thanks for the link sir.

This video is definitely a lot clearer than the sixaxis video I saw.

I agree with your assessment, but I could also see how someone could also come to the opinion that it is really hard to see much of a difference between the two. Also, like I said in another thread, it's weird that we saw a bigger difference in BF4 and their resolutions were a lot closer.

IGN's video is a much better representation than anything else I've seen so far.

So you believe MS paid him to overrule the reviewer's opinion, that's shared by others outside of Polygon mind you, putting the site's entire reputation on the line, and risking losing everything, in order to have it written that the Xbox One version is preferred over the PS4 version. That's what you're saying?
No. I was simply implying that he is biased and has strong influence over reviews.

Also, there is a patch coming to fix the framerate.

If there will be frame rate fixes then let them fix the PC and I'll get it there.

I have an overclocked GTX 780 running faster than a stock 290x lol and I have to worry about frame rates on PC. :smh:

There are also rumors of a 1080p patch for the Xbone version too. So where does that really leave us?

People really seem to love the PS4 controller. It's sad how excited I am to try out both systems' new controllers.

Yeah it's quite pathetic. Really, no one should buy this game.

In a much better state, right now every version is semi crippled when none need to be.
