I don't mind playing medic, but I hate the smgs. Let me use a Garand or something. If they're worried about medics sitting back camping then limit the ammo to two mags or something so they have to ask for it or run to find more.

Yea I just started on Xbox so going to be a while lol. It's too bad since my EA account is connected to every console that it couldn't cross platform my BF5 progress. Myself and the two others I'm playing with right now prefer the squad conquest since it is pretty much COD equivalent to domination. At least in that aspect the maps are a bit smaller so the SMGs are too bad, but definitely some times I'd rather have a rifle and then rely on a handgun if needed.
Edit: if company coins are the free currency then I might have enough to buy that commando carbine.
I'm a medic not a damn sniper. The commando andTromboncano are too slow ROF. The medic class needs something inbetween.Check out the commando carbine and the m28 trobonico or whatever it is called. You probably need company coins to unlock them. The latter one is especially good and is a bolt action rifle. The SMGs are good but obviously really situational and not always useful on the bigger maps and modes.
The classes have a good variety of weapons, but you sort of have to have been playing along to unlock a bunch of them (or earning a ton of company coin to buy them).
I think the Type 100 is a good gun for the medic. Better than what we've been getting for that class.I'm a medic not a damn sniper. The commando andTromboncano are too slow ROF. The medic class needs something inbetween.
Why is it? I used it maxed leveled it and is just more of the same.I think the Type 100 is a good gun for the medic. Better than what we've been getting for that class.
It is comical. They listened to the 5.2 outrage and removed the extra close and medium range TTK increase (but still has the huge recoil reduction) and says "it is much better." But then they are still releasing the original 5.2 TTK changes in december. I mean WTF.I'm so confused now. They are still messing with gun ranges, but say not the TTK (which is impossible as the range changes will directly impact that).
Dice needs to get their act together. Just admit they are wrong and that in making the game "noob friendly" they are going to eliminate their entire BF core. BF isn't a hard game on noobs and does not need to be "noobified". The TTK is fine and noobs can learn the game playing support classes.
Heck, now that COD is out and has TTK in the .2 second mode, BF feels like an eternity already.
We can't go back to the comical BF1 gunfights that would last 20 minutes. In BF1 I would get hundreds of hit markers, but people could just take a hit and run and find a medkit and be right back. As I've said though, there's this weird group on Reddit who LOVE BF1 and think it is the best game ever. I honestly thought it was people trolling just to be funny.

Then you aren't rememering BF1.I played a lot of BF1 found it to be a fun game. I don’t remember getting a lot of hit markers in that game. I had no problem getting kills.

BF1 maps >> BF5 maps except the pacific maps. Now I do remember at range it was tougher to take people out. Mid to close range I had no problems. I also enjoyed a lot of those maps. There were some stinkers though.
You can tell it was going to be bad with how vague they were being. Even the patch notes are vague and left out important changes like ROF.I only saw a video of someone with an FG42 inside the hanger and getting nothing but hitmarkers at very reasonable range. It looked really bad. Honestly the TTK on the rifles seemed to take too long even before they changed it. I think I'm done with the game until they fix it. I'll probably jump in on Wake just to try it and a few times and that's it.
This is just really bad and there's no reason for it. People are saying that they want to attract noobs and sell the game over the holidays, but what casuals would even check this kind of thing before buying a game? Your dedicated fans are leaving and it isn't just gamer drama. There's better games to play than this.
This video simply says it all. A pistol vs what was one of the better assault rifles. This was how BF1 was. The pistols did more damage than the rifles.
