I see a lot of "the consoles will be a launch disaster without strong launch titles" a lot, but I don't know if that's true. It isn't for me. Price is going to be my #1 determining factor, and performance. If the consoles are on the low end (say $400 range), it is a no-brainer I buy both. If we see $600, I'm down to one or maybe even none. In the middle of that and I'll probably buy 1. Obviously if the price is different between the two, that will factor in as well. Halo being delayed honestly has zero impact on my decision. I have Game pass so of course I would have played it day 1, but it isn't critical. I'm probably going to spend my time mostly on multiplats anyway.

Most likely, I'm going to want the box with the most terafloopers to run multiplats the best + factor in price.

Halo being delayed does give Sony has a chance to have a better launch lineup than someone for the first time ever

There have been very few great exclusive launch titles ever so its hardly a big deal. If you are buying at launch you are doing so as an investment in the future but I would still like the overall lineups including multiplats to turn out stronger than we know because I can't say I'm thrilled with the idea of buying a new next gen console to play the games I am playing now even though it is nice to know we can.

Didn't they announce a dynamic 4k 60fps for spiderman? That doesn't sound reassuring imo

They didn't say anything about dynamic resolution, however given that this is a PS5 game it shouldn't have a performance mode. It should run at 4K 60fps default.

I am buying the Xbox Series X to play the new Call of Duty and Cyberpunk, as well as Scorn, The Medium, Wastelands 3 and CrossfireX campaign. I am hoping 12 minutes comes out by then as well.

For the PS5 I am getting it for the Spider-Man DLC and possibly Godfall.

No way they will be 600. That is high at the best of times, let alone in dire situation the world is in right now.

It is actually obvious you're getting an XSX first. Same or better price, more power for your third parties, plus your gamepass. Seems inevitable.

That cat simulator game killed it bro 😂
I thought that game looked cool. The one with the robots? Hell, that Little Devil Inside was one of my favorites and it could be done this gen. Kena looked awesome. Ratchet looked awesome. There was plenty of good stuff shown. I'll be getting a PS5 much sooner than I got a PS4.

All that said, I don't think anyone knows when those games are releasing. Kinda crazy we don't know the launch lineups yet.

I've never considered myself to be an all digital guy. But the PS5 All Digitall Edition just looks cool. The disks drive makes it looks odd.

The PS5 will be my first digital only console. If they did an Xbox Series X without a disc drive (not the Series S), I would buy that. I agree, the disc drive on the PS5 looks funky.

They can go to hell for $600. Especially with the garbage launch games they've both shown off so far.

Come on. You don't want to buy a console for third party AA games like Medium and call by the sea? You aren't a real gamer.

Our boy is famous!!

If pointing out the truth to the guy makes you famous so be it lol. Investing in new studios, they have new studios that continue to need investment and growth, and of course the games need to be funded lol if they meant specifically that they were buying new studios they would have said acquisitions.. That doesn't mean they won't buy any other studios but that's not what their statement meant and that's how everyone seemed to take his tweet on other forums.

Journalist Jeff Grub has heard the same thing Dusk Golem says about PS5 struggling with multi-platform games, at least at launch. (Video timestamp at 28:30)

He heard it from Golem lol as far as the rest of his "what if's" he said that was all hypothetical.

Kena is a 2020, likely a launch game.

Edit: They confirmed today they are shooting to release before the end of the year but they can't guarantee it'll be a launch title.
