3000 series from nVidia June?

I noticed that the RTX 3070 is at 20 tflops now but the performance is only slightly better than the 12 tflop 2080ti. They did that just for a larger on paper advantage over consoles. 😆

That's why TF's were never a good measure of gaming performance.

I'm not sure I'm going to spend money to upgrade my 5700XT because I'm a cheap, lazy f***. With that said, Big Navi has a big gap to bridge. If I were the type to upgrade video cards even every two or three years, I'd have to put it at least 75% that I'd go with Nvidia if I were looking to upgrade in the next six-twelve months.

All the "Next-gen will be better than PC" fanboys & YouTubers are very silent after the Nividia announcement. 😭 😭

The 'BFGPU' plugged into a Mini-ITX board....RTX 3090.

That Corsair HXi 1200W/ Platinum PSU I bought in 2015 with the 7 year warranty sure makes me smile even more.
3090 it is!

Overkill to the max. Anyway, I am going to wait for Evga or MSI come out with their versions. I've always had the best experiences with their cards for overclocking. My credit card is ready.

I remain suspect on that 40%.

Probably closer to 20% and that's not enough (if it is)

True. It is always good to look at reviews first. Though I know I"m going to get a crazy upgrade from my 2080ti > 3090. I'm looking for high framerates and ultra settings on everything @ 1440P and above.

In news not shocking to anyone:

GeForce RTX 30 series cards tight supply until end of year

But there is one story I wanted to sit down and make sure I wrote, and that was from an industry source who told me that post-launch there will be "no stock will be available till the end of the year". The first wave of cards is said to be small, very, very small -- possibly the smallest launch in many years.

Another source had something much more damning to say, but I want to flesh that out before I write it. For now, I'm being told stock will be extremely low for the next couple of months. Why? Samsung 8nm yields are unknown at this point, NVIDIA might not want to make too many before the yields improve.

Nvidia and paper launches seem to go hand in hand.

Might be interested in the 3070 but we'll see. My RTX 480 is definitely getting old but I'm not spending more than what the 3070 would cost on a GPU. Will probably wait to see what AMD has to offer either way.

I wouldn't rule out AMD just yet. I don't think they'll match the 3080, but they could match the 3070 and be more efficient. Also Nvidia is probably going to drop the hammer on consumers when they double vram for the 3070ti and 3080ti.

I remain suspect on that 40%.

No reason not to trust Digital Foundry's benchmarks.

AMD needs to up their game man. They have been radio silence since the Nividia showcase.

New PC build coming soon for me. I'm still rocking the 970, so I'm long overdue for an upgrade. The 970 has served me well.

Me too, I am rocking 970 too. It serves me well for the past 5 years, so no complaints.
