Makes me wonder how many women are chained up and rubbing lotion on their skinBTW, I want to create a homemade hot wheels city. A town, with handmade buildings, streets, etc. in my basement. I looked on Youtube to see if anyone else does this, but I must be the only one. I didn't see much on there at all

Happy Birthday Val!This month

Yeah, I'll deal until about 150 for a 1TB. Crazy that storage constitutes half the price if the console. Seems like getting a TB is nuts in the first place on at 499I love the idea of plug and play. At maybe 149 I'll be in. But I can't see paying more than I paid for the rockets last year for a drive that's about 25% slower.
$499 is cheap for a 12.1TF next gen console that includes a 1TB nvme SSD and a 4K UHDBR player.Yeah, I'll deal until about 150 for a 1TB. Crazy that storage constitutes half the price if the console. Seems like getting a TB is nuts in the first place on at 499
That's what I was saying$499 is cheap for a 12.1TF next gen console that includes a 1TB nvme SSD and a 4K UHDBR player.
Won't give you BC enhancementsI'm going to pass on this overpriced expansion drive. Get double the space for roughly the same price. Read this article:
Xbox Series X back-compat loading times: SSDs and HDDs compared
UPDATE: For the authoritative take on Microsoft's new flagship console, Digital Foundry's full Xbox Series X review is …www.eurogamer.net
TLDR: get an off-the-shelf SSD instead and plug it in via USB. It'll be almost as fast as the internal SSD.
And won’t play Series X|S gamesWon't give you BC enhancements
MS announced already that any drive that you attach besides their Seagate drive won't play Series X/S games.

How do you think the external would workThat chart is irrelevant because it compares USB 3.1 HDD to the Expansion card.
How do you think the external would work
.........Ah, let me explain. There's a huge difference between a Solid State Drive (SSD) and a Hard Disc Drive (HDD). The SSD has no moving parts inside of it, whereas the HDD is a traditional hard drive with spinning discs internally.
So that's why an SSD performs so much better, and that's what is the tech that next gen consoles will use. SSDs are not new technology; they have been in use in PCs for a while.
Digital Foundry tested a couple of external SSDs and found they perform VERY close to the internal Series X SSD.
Hope that helps you understand the tech.
.........
It's still limited by the vastly slower usb speeds.
External drives via USB will not be fast enough.
I watched the video when it was posted. You ought to read that link I posted above from Digital Foundry.
