Storage Expansion For Xbox Series X/S

BTW, I want to create a homemade hot wheels city. A town, with handmade buildings, streets, etc. in my basement. I looked on Youtube to see if anyone else does this, but I must be the only one. I didn't see much on there at all :(
Makes me wonder how many women are chained up and rubbing lotion on their skin

I love the idea of plug and play. At maybe 149 I'll be in. But I can't see paying more than I paid for the rockets last year for a drive that's about 25% slower.
Yeah, I'll deal until about 150 for a 1TB. Crazy that storage constitutes half the price if the console. Seems like getting a TB is nuts in the first place on at 499

I'm going to pass on this overpriced expansion drive. Get double the space for roughly the same price. Read this article:

TLDR: get an off-the-shelf SSD instead and plug it in via USB. It'll be almost as fast as the internal SSD.

Won't give you BC enhancements

How do you think the external would work 🤔

Ah, let me explain. There's a huge difference between a Solid State Drive (SSD) and a Hard Disc Drive (HDD). The SSD has no moving parts inside of it, whereas the HDD is a traditional hard drive with spinning discs internally.

So that's why an SSD performs so much better, and that's what is the tech that next gen consoles will use. SSDs are not new technology; they have been in use in PCs for a while.

Digital Foundry tested a couple of external SSDs and found they perform VERY close to the internal Series X SSD.

Hope that helps you understand the tech.

.........

It's still limited by the vastly slower usb speeds.

External drives via USB will not be fast enough.

if you have an amazon prime store card, you can purchase xbox gift cards and get 25% cash back. You can grab 2 $100.00 gift cards for $150.00.

Cheaper route to getting the expansion if you are in the market.
