I see the 1.5 update under updates on series x when you go to manage the game, but when I click through it disappears.

The 1.05 is console only. Sigh. Also didn't fixed my issues.

I am hanging on the official forum (I had an account since WItcher 3) Also many people said the hotfix cause more issues like crash.

Wait, so people think you should be able to KEEP the game after you get the refund?

Frustrated Head GIF

That's why I keep saying, the west is falling. While the Chinese & Indians are telling how their kids to be successful & get to the top, the west is telling the kids who can they blame if they fail. When I was a kid, I am only allowed to play games on weekends, & like 2 hours except for school holidays. This day, every day I saw kids playing Fortnite. Then when these kids grow up, they wonder why so many jobs went to H1B immigrants.

When the inevitable apocalypse hits, this millennial generation of spoiled, privileged white kids will cry about not getting to live their dream of becoming everything they ever wanted and having everyone listen to them and give them what they feel their owned because they exist, while being eaten alive by cannibalistic tribes of human waste.
You should try out a career as a game "journalist". You talk like one now. :p

IGN riding the hate wave lol
I'm pretty sure CDPR said they'd pay out the refunds from their own pockets if necessary, IGN going for the easy clicks.

Congratulation to you for discovering modern-day "journalism". It's all clickbait & generates outrage.

But its 100% accurate. They told people they could get refunds from Sony and Microsoft but it wasn't true at the time.

That's true, but I honestly dont see the ambient ai as important. it's pretty dumb, but this isnt GTA. They are just quasi-dynamic set dressing. The magic happens in the writing and characters, as well as the mission variety and options. It's pretty complex and what you choose to develop really affects your play stlye.

As far as the XSX, at least on quality model, I haven't had those crazy LOD issues. Sometimes (depending on time of day) the game can look a bit flat, but equally it can be mesmerizing.

I think it looks incredible, with some of the best in-game character and vehicle models I've seen.

The lighting is all real time too. I remember DF thinking it was set times like Spiderman originally because it was so well done. There is a lot under the hood which is probably why its having so many bugs.
I hear what you're saying. But in most of the marketing for this game it was billed as the next generation of open world gaming. And they can't even get basic traffic AI right, da hell.

I'm fascinated by the so far untold story about development of this game. And more info has come out. There's a story going around with leaked statements from the management/developer video conference call. The fact that there's a conference by video between management and developers is a sign of the disconnect. But developers asked some very pointed questions of management. One of the questions asked was, why did management lie when it said this game was playable back in January when it wasn't? The answer was just an apology. Another question asked was, do you feel its hypocritical to be making a game about corporate exploitation by asking developers to put in loads of crunch? The answer given was vague and nonsensical.

Its becoming clear that management set this whole mess up that has put the developers in such a bad position. I really feel bad for the devs, it seems obvious that they must have warned about the issues still surrounding the game. But management was set on a release no matter what state this game was in. Its only now that they see just how badly this has damaged their reputation. I've also read these are mostly the same executives from The Witcher 3 where development also was hell for the dev team. At CDPR its time for change, time for new management.

See, hearing and reading about this, do you then choose to purchase the game to support the developers and game still? Or not to buy the game because you don't want to support the management?

Its tough, right? I choose to support the devs by not requesting a refund. But I don't fault anyone for asking for a refund. You pay for a product and expect it to work. But management is clearly steering the ship towards the jagged coast at full speed. If there isn't a change of course soon the outcome is obvious.

I watch a few glitch videos on YouTube each night. Some of them are the funniest things I've seen in years. I'm in shock that they thought it was okay to release the game in such horrible condition, and even more shocked that consumers are okay with paying to be beta testers for this company who knowingly robbed them.

This sort of nonsense will continue in the future as long as people are accepting of it.

I guess the new patch improved the look of film grain and chromatic aberration on consoles, going to have to test that out. Also some changes to HDR. Will probably still look better in SDR, but worth checking out I guess.

Not sure how it works in the US, but here it's your right to get refunded if your product i doesn't live up to what's promised.

Also, show me where they promised Sony would refund them.

They made it sound like they worked with Sony on this. They said use the refund system but Sony doesn't even have one.

"You can opt to refund your copy" But you couldn't opt to do that. You can argue about semantics because IGN said promise but I still would say its accurate.

IGN sucks but they also have made it clear that CDPR is willing to go out of pocket to refund retail copies so they aren't just trashing them. Its all true.

They didn't promise anything other than that they'd refund from own pocket if customers couldn't get it through MS and Sony.

Fkin cancel culture at it's finest, witch trials is what (social) media has become.

They said they would work with them if retail stores wouldn't refund them. They said nothing about digital because its ridiculous. They were never doing that.

Its not a witch trial if the defendant is a witch

I am about 47 hours. Once I am done with the decent side quest, I will wrap things up in the main mission.
Out of curiosity, at what level did you start the point of no return? I just want to see if I am ready. I am level 25 now.
