Not sure if anyone follows the s*** show of AC Valhalla, but the achievements are broken in that game. Many people have finished the game and haven’t been able to unlock most achievements. I am only a few hours in and stopped playing until there is a fix.
Is that from an update or since launch.

I enjoy this game FAR more than AC Vahllalla, but I also have a lot of bugs, & immersion breakers like Saul (character in-game) model will show up in comms.
(See the video I posted earlier)

Also, some progression risky bugs like unable to make a phone call. Fortunately, after the mission end, I magically can make calls again.

Also for those still playing, get the double jump/high jump leg cyberware as soon as you have 45000 save up. It makes your traversal so much better.

When the inevitable apocalypse hits, this millennial generation of spoiled, privileged white kids will cry about not getting to live their dream of becoming everything they ever wanted and having everyone listen to them and give them what they feel their owned because they exist, while being eaten alive by cannibalistic tribes of human waste.

They did it to themselves, but I still can't help but feel bad. They will get my money when the game is ready.
Feel bad for the ground-floor developers but don't feel bad for management who made the decision to straight up lie.

I thought about a refund but I'm too curious about this game. It seems to check all the boxes for me in what I'd like in a game. I know the execution of the game's vision is troubled, I still want to see for myself. And most reports from gamers on XSX is that the game looks great and performs reasonably well for the most part.

What I gigantic clusterf*** this launch became.... Must be the most f***ed release ever by miles?
Battlefront 2 did f*** up the greedy way of loot boxes on EU level at one point, but they got away with it fairly fine compared to this.... It's insane really, they must've seen this coming when the game runs at 15fps? Would've been a better outcome if they just hold off until February with last gen versions instead of this colossal fail.

Tempted to do a refund just to wait for a discount, but the Series X version is playing great so I’ll keep it. Plus the hooks are in now so I’m sure I’d be missing it

A few crashes and falloutish bugs and glitches, but nothing too bad imo. I never really got annoyed with fallout or elder scrolls though, so take that for what it's worth.
That's reassuring. I can deal with bugs as long as it doesn't prevent progression. I also really liked Fallout and Skyrim. I ruined my Skyrim experience by using an exploit but that wasn't anyone's fault buy my own. Stay away from cheats/exploits especially for an RPG.

What's disappointing is that you can see ( at least on PC ) that there is a good game underneath all CDPR's crap.

But there are far too many bugs and glitches to call this a finished product. I've got 3 un-completable side mission due to bugs. And this doesn't even cover the broken AI and in general game-play not representative of what was demonstrated and talked about.

Management need to shoulder the blame for this but some of the development leads need to as well. Especially when they were out promoting things that ultimately were not in the game. Yes game development is a moving target, but cutting features you promoted hard in interviews and hands off demonstrations nearly up to release seems down right dishonest.

Now you got CDPR developers retweeting articles that "People had unreal expectations " This train never ends does it.

If you're happy then that's all that matters. I'm contemplating the refund only because if I'm able to build a new PC by the time things are fixed then I rather play on PC. I only got on XSX because I was investing money into that rather than a new PC and the time the game was releasing.

With everything getting pushed around, I'm not sure.

I don't think that is true at all. People expect to get what you and your PR team shows us. People expect a good value for their money. People expect a 100% working non defective product for their hard earned money.

I know we all say that we are all "beta testers" of day one consoles, day one software, and we should learn not to jump in so soon. Well you know what, WE SHOULD be able to jump in on day one and have no issues.

It's NOT good when you "anticipate" problems and learn to accept them.

That said, I will never learn apparently.

Wait, so people think you should be able to KEEP the game after you get the refund?

All the hoopla has me researching how the game runs on XSX. By all accounts it runs pretty well. But I've seen some funny bugs like textures taking a long time to load in. And what's up with the traffic AI, watched where a player parked and all the traffic behind couldn't navigate around his vehicle, lol.

I would tend to agree with you, however in this case I'm not so sure. As deceptive as management has been I don't understand how the dev team could work on a game for 7 years and release, this. Especially given the fact that they already completely cut out many major features like the flying car, wall running, companions, and the subway system.

That's how the traffic behaves across all platforms.

Ultimately, if you turn HDR off, use graphics / image mode, turn off film grain, chromatic aberration, and motion blur, it looks and runs well aside from the same type of bugs and hitches present on all platforms.

It feels like there's massive story to tell about the development of this game. I agree, after all the time in development its astonishing to see the game released in the state its in.

But there's a lot we don't know. Like, was leadership using resources wisely, was the dev road map put in place prior to production. Basically, did management and team leadership know what the vision was and was that communicated to the rest of the team or was there a constant change leading to a lot of wasted time and resources?

The game wasn't in development for 7-8 years. While it was announced then, all hands on deck development began after they finished The Witcher 3.
True, though Cyberpunk had more dev time, more employees, and spent more money than Rockstar North did on GTA5.

Definitely. Either way I'm sure some of the team is PISSED about this whole thing and someone will let something slip that leaks out.

Holy s***! I've had hardly any issues with the game. Yeah I had the game freeze up twice but that's about it. Nothing game breaking.

That's true, but I honestly dont see the ambient ai as important. it's pretty dumb, but this isnt GTA. They are just quasi-dynamic set dressing. The magic happens in the writing and characters, as well as the mission variety and options. It's pretty complex and what you choose to develop really affects your play stlye.

As far as the XSX, at least on quality model, I haven't had those crazy LOD issues. Sometimes (depending on time of day) the game can look a bit flat, but equally it can be mesmerizing.

I think it looks incredible, with some of the best in-game character and vehicle models I've seen.

The lighting is all real time too. I remember DF thinking it was set times like Spiderman originally because it was so well done. There is a lot under the hood which is probably why its having so many bugs.
