And I don't really know why. MS had a good show. Especially if you're in the gamepass ecosystem. There is literally a new game for me to try from now until November.

Where was all this when I was single and without children? Now I don't have enough hours in the day between gamepass's offerings, Sony's 1st party and Nintendo's 1st party.

I play alot of Sea of Thieves and loved seeing Jack Sparrow. Flight Simulator looked unbelievable. Almost photo realistic.

I haven't seen the show yet (just a couple of trailers) cause I was golfing but look forward to seeing the whole thing.

When they mentioned Skyrim's anniversary during the press conference, I was shocked they didn't announce next gen enhancements coming.

I think that will be pretty much all the games that’s cross gen . I expect from Next E3 onwards it will be X/S only games. It’s going to be awkward for Xbox at first, having to distinguish X/S only games on Gamepass, especially whilst still pushing it on last gen.

Calling that footage of Starfield "gameplay" is hilarious, it was all a cinematic, most everything that showed actual gameplay was indie or AA at best other than Battlefield which I thought was underwhelming, it looks like it's going to be really hard to see the other players and I hated the look of that Neon city at night with the dust storm, that's going to be a s*** map to play on for visibility.

The Ascent is timed exclusive like I thought but still one of the more interesting looking games they have and I'm really looking forward to it, was nice to see the release date for the Diablo 2 remake as well.

The biggest thing out of the event, is Gamepass and they made a strong case.

now some bullet points

hype:
horizon 5, stalker 2. Horizon looks stunning. Gonna miss the snow though.

okayish
Halo MP, looks decent fun.

dissappointed:
Plague tale 2. why turn Amicia, our protagonist in first game into another boring asskicking empowering woman. The charm of the first game is she was just a regular teenager caught in unfortunate struggle and period and doing her best and using her wits to overcome odds and help her brother.

halo SP. I had hoped they show some updated visuals to ease the MEME & shut any trolling of halo visuals. We get instead a boring cutscene that doesn’t do much or show much visuals.

Rest:
CGI never interested me, & most preheat games taht show some gameplay are meh-ish, or already known, like far cry 5.

That's cool, it's too bad this isn't a game you can play on your own in any real way, the AC games with Naval combat were always a lot of fun but I wanted something that was more just about pirates without the Assassin's stuff involved. Ubisoft is making Skull and Bones but that's a multiplayer game and I don't think it has anything other than naval combat. I think having a mix of naval and 3rd person action/combat is the best way to do a pirate game.

A Pirate game without dancing with the governor's daughter is a non-starter, of course it might be that I'm just way too fond of the original Pirates Gold by Sid Meier.
