Nope not happening to much money to be made especially on Sony's machines.
Kinda.

If and when they become part of the Xbox fam, they could make more money via Xbox since they no longer have to pay for licenses and other store fronts, especially digital sale or GP. It could be total profit from all sales via Xbox/pc.

And it depends on what markets they’re the biggest sellers in. If it were to sway to Xbox, in two years, in the states, Mexico/Canada, the UK and who knows where else then, hey, change is a thing.

Besides I’m sure there’s smart, hopefully, within, MS/Xbox who are planning out how to grow it beyond what it is now.

You dont spend that money and end up on another unit beside those already made contracts. MS put their because team on this. Nothing is going to happen.

The biggest cod market by a mile is PlayStation.

But in which market? Asia, americas, uk, Europe, south East Asia/pacific. Many factors/variables for the future that there’s people who just work, think, plan and live it.
Overall by a mile like I said COD has the most players and brings in the most revenue on PlayStation.

PS has a couple years worth of exclusively content left btw and with the money the gaming division will make from that and the FCC breathing down there necks I wouldn't be surprised if MS offered a new similar deal to Sony when the current deals run out.

You act like they won't move to xbox if everything there is exclusive or on gamepass day one. They did it before, they will do it again.

I don’t know. It makes sense to me to have some kind of continuous engagement of an IP like COD on other platforms when it has historically had such a strong multiplatform presence in the multiplayer space. Maybe it makes sense to permanently have exclusivity periods on Xbox platforms before releasing on other platforms at a later date?

Well, at minimum it will be on Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, Microsoft Windows PC, iOS, Android and the Xbox puck. That is a lot of options, more than it has ever had. And a PS gamer could just buy an Xbox or play it on their PC or other device.

I had to buy a PS to play God of War.

Yeah, I get that. I just think it can also make sense to have it on other platforms because as a multiplayer title, it has a history on multiple platforms. God of War has always been PS that I can remember and it’s single player. We’ll see I guess. I think either way can make sense for MS purchase.

True. For me, the more that have access to the game, the better. Same goes for Bungie keeping their games multiplatform if Sony ends up acquiring them.

FTC and money.
You will see.

The puck is essentially a series x only over their cloud

In today's internal all-hands meeting with Xbox Game Studios employees, Head of Xbox Phil Spencer said that he would recognize Raven Software's union. This came after the QA testers at Raven voted to form the first labor union at a major studio.

Which is a perfect reason to keep it off that platform and exclusive to the Xbox platform, most notably Game Pass. Will they? I think they originally planned to, but it is a wait and see situation. They did it with Bethesda and Elder Scrolls, no reason to think they wouldn't with Activision.

MS is trying to make money.
If FCC says it needs to still support other platforms... they will.
MS is trying to make money via services. In this case with Game Pass. The best way to drive growth of that service is with exclusive titles they know players from outside the Xbox ecosystem want, like Skyrim, Fallout, Diablo, COD, etc.

All these buy outs are for Game Pass. We need to remember that.

I spoke a few posts worth of my opinion but I will further emphasize that they won't have a choice with the FTC involved.

So you didn't read my link.
Again I already spoke my opinion on this..
Let's wait and see what happens.

We will be waiting a few years though as PS has a COD exclusivity deal for a few more years.
I did read it. There is nothing definitive in it.

If they would find it hard to stop the deal outright they are unlikey to force restrictions on what can be done with it in regards to exclusivity.

Yeah, he heads up the whole grain & cereal department.
