That is all fine and dandy but it will still never be able to produce all the graphical bells and visuals at the resolutions of a capable PC. As I understand it that was the ongoing line of thinking and that is factually true. Art style can be argued and posted as opinion but the technical gulf can't be breached.
That would be fun to see. If Apple made a console and it was good it would force Microsoft and Sony to be even better. I wonder if three major consoles would all sell well. The Wii U is just barely getting by but it's not really competing with the X1/PS4.
Can I have a list of UPCOMING 2015/16 PC exclusives that can challenge these consoles upcoming exclusives pls thx if not quit wasting our time with points that don't counter my statements.
No, I'm not going to list upcoming PC exclusives because that's a dumb argument when every PC game that comes out in 2015/2016 will more than likely best every console exclusive in the graphics department. The fact that the PC can push 4k visuals @ 60fps with Nvidia exclusive features and added higher res textures, shadow maps, and tessellation (to name a few things) makes this a non-starter for an argument.
Example: Batman AK will come out on all platforms, but the PC version will be superior to all other console exclusives that isn't Batman AK. Or Witcher 3 on PC.. it can be made to have much better visual fidelity per frame than The Order, or UC4, or Halo 5, etc.. so why list exclusives when it's irrelevant.
Val let me take a gander at what I think you are saying. You like certain upcoming console exclusives over PC offerings. All of that is fine and perfectly okay. Where you are running afoul is your insistence that because those console exclusives appeal to you more visually it means they look better.
The art style may be more in tuned with what you like but techically there is nothing there that the PC platform could not do and do alot better.
Yeap, I perfectly understand his reasoning. It all has to do with having pride in a platform of choice. In this case, his prized PS4. I get it.. He doesn't want to think that despite his exclusive games looking very nice and pretty on his platform, there is another platform that pushes the visual fidelity even further. This fact "s***s" on his good feelings about his own platform, so he has to counter it with trying to argue it isn't better.
You won't because you can't because their isn't much is my point upcoming exclusive wise... these consoles will have the best looking exclusive 2015/16 games PERIOD no matter how you wanna spin it.

LOL! Ok. You are right. Outside of Star Citizen (which may or may not come out in 2016), I don't see an Indie game on PC looking better than a console exclusive. There ya go.
Is that a joke post? Those images hide every single aliasing artifact in the game due to the low resolution (yea, I'm calling 1080p low res if it's not AA properly). All the blurred textures from aggressive filtering is also hidden in those gifs. Furthermore, the image quality just isn't a match for those PC games running at 4k resolution. Lastly, even Assetto Corsa or GRID:Autosport @ 4k/60fps produces a much sharper visual fidelity and better visual experience than DC (despite the weather).
Now show me a shot without the rain covering and distorting like 90% of the photos. It's like beer goggles.
I happen to have just played Driveclub for the first time, last week. Picture quality is completely ass, a lot worse than I thought based on what I previously saw on the internets. I'll give you that I still agree it looks AMAZING with the weather effects going. But I could also f*** up and bang a yetti with the right amount of beer goggles on.
The game definitely looks best with weather turned on, but when it is, it's unparalleled.

I agree 100%. But that statement doesn't make the game look better than any PC game overall (which was the argument).
I disagree here. The materials are anything but realistic looking. I also have DC and both GRID and Assetto Corsa have better car materials. Also, the hands in DC look like ass. The interior materials look plastic and not at all looking like PBR. It's just like Infamous:SS boasting physically based materials and nothing in the game looks like it compared to other games that boast it (i.e. Ryse, AC:Unity).

Yo my man got what I am saying except.... The upcoming exclusive games looking better is closer to the fact side then it is to my opinion because the PC lineup is anemic.
Of course the exclusives could and would run better on a nice PC but that wasn't my point.
No you obviously don't and my platform of choice would be my PC actually but as I stated many times the social part of the PC in comparison isn't as good/convenient for MY tastes and its upcoming exclusives are laughable in comparison to these consoles.
If I wanna play the PC it will have to be for older games and I am not usually in that mood... But but you can get better versions of 3rd party games! Rather get those games (unless they are sp only) on my consoles.
Val, you really need to stop trying to alienate platforms just by exclusives.
If that's the road you're going to take with PCs, then you should stop your crusade of constantly trying to put PS4 higher over XB1....when XB1 has the best looking game on both platforms.
