With this targeted timeline, Insomniac is definitely one of the best first party investments in awhile for value. 7 potential games and new IPs included in 10 years ?!

So Sony now want $80-100 games... and they accused MS of being able to try that.

Sucks that Insomniac got hacked, especially the personal details.

Guess this is also a no chance of a new Sunset Overdrive situation.

Looking at all the leaked data is fascinating for someone on the outside looking in.

  1. Ratchet and Clank hasn't made a profit for Insomniac.
  2. The X-men licensing terms are nuts.

  4. I Thought the Sony titles would sell better than what they have on Steam.

So Sony going day 1 on PC.

They will no doubt bundle every game in order to keep the rights.

If it is for everything going forwards, looks like I'll be a PCMR only next gen as it can run as both the definitive version of a Xbox or Playstation game.

We'll see if they continue this approach with future leaks or this is a special case.

Non had issues with the GTA,Capcom and so on leaks though.

Even Grubb who makes a living off this is suddenly not wanting to talk about it.
Personal employee details yes but not even talking about the games or road map?

Which is what they could do here. Talk about everything other than the personal info of the staff.
Like disclose everything but the personal info…they could say, people’s personal info is out, it’s not like they themselves are going about looking for that info, which they shouldn’t. Like are these leaked images of games have watermarks off people’s info on them?

It would but I feel they’ll need to add extra dev time to get most of the bugs out, feel like most games in pc day one need better standards

Which is why I'm a fan of going on console first then PC unless the studio has the resources to back it up

Spider-man released four years late at full price. It think that's generally the same with the others. Maybe not Horizon.

Sony will either have to push forward PC release dates, or launch on PC at a much lower price.

Clearly, their current strategy isn't enticing the number of customers you'd expect for a AAA release. I'm sure they'll be keenly watching if God of War: Ragnarok has the same drop-off that Spider-man had to Miles Morales.

The gaming sites not covering this is preservation at its best. They all want to keep a good relationship with Sony. When GTA leaked, it was covered. When Capcom and CDPR had the EXACT same thing happen to them as Insomniac, it was covered. Now its an issue. Because IMO a Sony blacklist is FAR worst and more damaging than anything else in gaming right now.

This should really put to bed that there isn't a bias in gaming media. And at this point calling them gaming journalist is not correct. Outside of maybe Jason schreier, all of them probably should be labeled as gaming pundits or personalities. Journalist is not the correct term at all.

As someone else said, At the end of the day it's not the media's job to protect the secrets of a corporation, it's the corporation's job.
Reporting on it accurately and responsibly is the entirety of the media's job at this point.

On the flip side, these gaming companies need to step up the cybersecurity and protocols, Sony especially. The hackers are claiming they had full access in the span of 20-25 minutes of the hack. That is ridiculous.
