The MS fanboys are funny far as I see nobody in this thread even said MS did bad just some said they liked Sony more this time. they just can't take it. I mean f*** WTF is wrong with you to love a Soulless company so much. if you're One is so great why are you not on it and just b****ing on here at others for not thinking like you for 900 posts.

The thread is about who won E3, not who did "pretty well", and I think it's incredibly clear that if you're not completely and cripplingly biased, then it's clear Microsoft won. It wasn't even close. Sony once again waived some hands, showed some stuff with no timelines (or ambiguous timelines at best), and expects their fans to bite... Well, they were right. Their fans bit. But Microsoft came out swinging, and utterly destroyed Sony's 2015 lineup, while giving people immediate benefits like BC, and a heck of a lot to look forward to.

Eh, to each his own.

Yes, to each his own. Which was my original point in this very thread by the way.

I try to make it a point to leave things better than I found them. You should try it sometime. It's a sign of maturity.

I very much doubt it. I've seen both your posts on these forums and your particular brand of "maturity".

I've lived long enough to realize that I have both moments of maturity and immaturity, intelligence and stupidity, open-mindedness and close-mindedness. And you know what? That's healthy.

In the end, none of this has to do with the topic, and is just a smoke screen on your part in response to my initial post. This E3 was great for gamers on any platform. That is all. You can call that immature if you want, but you'd be wrong.

Well moving forward, the mature thing to do would be to drop this line of discussion and return to the topic, so...

Yes but try to be mature, intelligent, and open minded. Those are better. Trust me on this one.

But the games they showed didn't wow people. I don't care if they're being released tomorrow or in 2017, if your games aren't wowing people, then you're doing something wrong.

Horizon Zero Dawn wipes the floor with absolutely everything MS showed at that conference. Wipes. The. Floor.

I felt both had good E3 showings and showed a variety of games to cater to different genres. Just need to find the time to play half these games!

Disagree. Big time! Horizon looked good. No doubting there. However, T.R. Halo 5, Recor, Forza 6 and Gears 4 looked aces too. Not to mention the UI upgrade and HoloLense. I get the last two arent games, but still made one hell of an impression on many.

Are you not entertained?? :)

I had to post once here, just to join in the 'fun.'
Then it's back to crazy rumors, I promise!
Some people here are just stirring the pot (which is hilarious, BTW), and there are enough fanboys on both sides to keep this thread going indefinitely.
It is really a waste, though. Opinions are not facts, they are just opinions; yours is wrong, and I'll tell you why! Ha.
And what 'wins' E3 anyways? If a company has more games that I like?
And can someone please explain how you can say a totally new game is amazing, when you've never actually played it? That goes for both sides.

That being said, my short humble opinion is MS has a better exclusive 2015 lineup so far. Sony's 2106 exclusives look better overall, *if* they all make it out next year. However, MS still has games to show at GC, so maybe that'll change my opinion. And maybe Sony will have some surprises at Paris Game Week.

Sony definitely has a better flair for the dramatic when presenting....they know how to elicit a stronger emotional reaction from the crowd. So maybe that 'wins?' Although MS did a better job than they've done in the past.

I'll never understand the hype for remakes, regardless of the system. Unless there is a MP component, I can't see spending that much time/money on a game when there are so many other good games out there. But Nintendo seems to live on them so what the hell do I know.

My. Longest. Post. Ever.

That's a big enough sample. I don't see it changing much. Looks like UnionVGF(aka TeamXbox) has spoken. Time's change. You either evolve or perish.
Lets get to brass tacks: if you are being completely honest, Sony put on a "good show". But they always do. They are masters at generating hype when there really isnt anything to be hyped about in the near future. This has been Sony since they've stepped on the world stage of gaming. They had a couple of exclusives (most we knew about) but some keep bringing up FF& remake. Only they arent paying attention to the details. S.E. and Microsoft are rather cozy in their business relationship right now. Do you really believe they are going to leave Microsoft out of the loop to receive a FF7 remake? Hence why its "FIRST on PS4". Not exclusive.

Second, Sony is leaning heavily on third party games to make them appear they have all kinds of games coming on tap. But they arent Sony's games and all of them will see multi platform release. That in and of itself, takes the wind out of their sails.

Microsoft showed exclusives. Titles they own that will not be seen on an other platforms. Plus they have every multi platform game Sony has so sheepishly tried to make appear as if they are exclusives to their platform. But if you wipe away the bulls*** and see what is, Sony land is looking bleak--especially this year.

Now, if youre into being bulls***ted and made to believe that Sony has as many games as Microsoft this year, more power to you. I personally am not a fan. Give it to me straight so I know what I'm dealing with.

But if you are into solid, reliable this year quality exclusives AND multi platform games, Microsoft took home the prom queen at this years E3. More solid, trusted AAA and risky titles, as many multi plats as the competition and awesome features that will all be experienced THIS. YEAR. Sony did good, but Microsoft did great! There's a world of difference.

Sorry for the rant, but damn....

The two previous e3's were a snoozefest from Sony, this year I actually thought it was well done.

Agreed. As I said in my post, they had a good show. Genuinely. But a lot of it was hype for games that werent first party, with a sprinkle of first party titles coming NEXT year. If that... They legit promised the rabbit in the hat without revealing the foogin rabbit. Where'd the rabbit go? Down the rabbit hole ffs!

I said that. But they arnt THIS year....

Seems like Microsoft won E3 before they even showed up. They were always going to have more for 2015 to show. That is fine if that is what is most important to you but that certainly isn't the only criteria for a good conference.

Lets not forget about Microsoft with their BC announcement, brand new UI with Cortana. These are features I dont think Sony can match-especially BC. If they cant it will have an effect on their success from this point on. B.C. was HUGE and absolutely smart of Microsoft. They legit gave 360 gamers the reason to convert now. Kinect essentially got an A.I. boost with Cortana, and the UI looks to be all aces. These are big deals and game changers in my opinion.

My best guess it will be on PS4 for a year then PC. Xbox One? I don't know man. Final Fantasy Type O sold like CRAP on the Xbox One and Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD remastered didn't come to Xbox 360/One at all. For some reasons, most JRPGS tend to sell bad on Xbox platforms.

Agreed. But there is a reason why its only "First on PS4". Which really is quite awesome. But there is such a hunger for FF7 remake that covers many gamers on many platforms. Most, if not all of us here remember playing it.

That's what E3 is though! It's about showing games. It's about showing hardware. It's not about showcasing what's coming in the very near future.

The Xbox One has a healthy (I think that's the best way I can describe it) game lineup this holiday season and it appeals so much to the 14 year old crowd. It just doesn't excite me anymore.

Yeah some of it, the difference is sony should have more holiday stuff just like MS should have more stuff way out in the distance, neither was perfect, but I would rather have stuff coming soon than a bunch of maybes.

I'm excited about the sony's stuff, the problem is I'll probably be excited about the same exact games next E3.

Both Sony and MS didn't really do much. I wasn't wowed or anything but I do have to say that the Uncharted 4 presentation totally spanked Gears of war 4's presentation all the way back into the womb.

Talk about saving the best for last and going head to head, mano a mano, AAA vs AAA, Cash cow vs Cash cow etc, etc, etc...

I think Microsoft should pull out the big wallet and give Cliffy B what ever the man wants just to get him back in charge of Gears because that Rod guy, he f***ed it up with Judgement and now he is f***ing it up even more with gears 4 going by that horrible presentation.

I know it was just a small piece of a bigger game that was shown but still, if this was the best they had to show then they were better off with just a CGI trailer for the game instead after all it was just a debut so is not like games catch a lot of slack for showing nongameply footage during a debut.

And so did Sony

Sony showed ZERO exclusives releasing this year.
Sony showed ZERO exclusives with meaningful dates.
Sony showed a pre-rendered trailer for FF7 (which isn't even exclusive)
Sony showed ONE good looking/new title/IP (Horizon), but no release dates

Yeah, Sony had some exclusives to show, but most of it was hand-waiving, and more promises. I still can't believe Soony fans are actually excited about TLG. It's been in dev hell for a decade. There's a reason games go there, and if they ever manage to get out, they never live up to the hype. Quote me now, TLG won't live up to the hype. Not by a long-shot. It'll probably be a low 80's metacritic at best.

Microsoft is killing it on the exclusives, especially the high-grade exclusives. Right now, MS is so far ahead, I don't know if Soony can eve catch up.
