Is it a common thing ?When I was playing the game, I saved at least in 3 different slots to try to minimize these save bugs.

hrudey had save problems before. So as soon I read about it, I just started doing 3 saves at a time.
You may be okay if you just quit to title screen when you're done playing. I apparently just did that and then when I signed back in this morning it was still there, but it may not have needed quick resume because I don't think my son played anything last night.Going to stop using Quick Resume then.
I just read an article over on Kotaku where the author also complained about this game being too long. It seems weird to me to complain about a game having too much stuff to do. He even mentioned how "he values his time" and I had to stop reading to say out loud "then play something else", lol.It is really a great looking game. Too long though. I think I'm past half way at this point but feel like I have a long way to go.
I think I need to turn up the difficulty too as I can basically destroy anyone. I un-equpped the really good Twitch gear and still am wrecking.
I'm forcing myself to finish this before moving on to other games (plus the small hard drive on the XSX is helping with that).
I don't get the value my time comment at all. How does the value of your time lessen by playing this game for 100 hours, or 5 games for 100 hours?I just read an article over on Kotaku where the author also complained about this game being too long. I mean no disrespect but after (3) games in this soft reboot gamers should know what they are getting by now. And the other complaint mentioned was the game has the player doing the same thing over and over again which is true of all games. But you're doing the same things with new weapons/skills and/or armor which should spice things up and if not then the game is not for you, there are plenty of short, bite sized games out there but the AC series not among them.
I'm loving every second of it. Beautiful game. Satisfying combat. Like the Raid system. Wish photo mode was more fleshed out. liking the Mysteries aspect. It is really a great looking game. Too long though. I think I'm past half way at this point but feel like I have a long way to go.

Apparently the author of that article wanted to reach the end of the game to see how it all turned out. But he was bothered by the fact that there was significant content to be played before reaching the conclusion.I don't get the value my time comment at all. That boggles my mind to. I can only assume going by what you have said that this author wasn't enjoying the game. But, given the hypocritical and contradictary state of game journalism, I imagine he claimed to really enjoy it.Apparently the author of that article wanted to reach the end of the game to see how it all turned out. I know some gamers prefer shorter games but it just seems silly at this point, the third game in this rebooted series not to know what to expect. But I can understand some who might not have had as good a time as I did and just want to wrap up the story.
I sunk in over 90hrs and had fun from start to finish. If there were more River Raids I'd be all over that. I also ran out of things to chase after getting Thor's armor and the 3 special weapons in the game.
They are the Jalopnik of automotive news. As in, not good. Almost satire, but not.Kotaku just whines about everything now. I used to like how they ditched the review score, but they seem to now lean towards clickbait on everything now.
I barely pay attention to any gaming "journalism" anymore.
I'm almost 40 hours in and having major troubles finding a reason to continue playing. I don't think I'm very far into the story. There's just less stuff to do in the game compared to the last 2 games. They skipped a year after Odyssey, so what did they do with the extra time? So many features removed and replaced needlessly. Ubisoft does this with all of their games, though.I played all the AC games up through Origins, which I didn't really care for, so I skipped Odyssey. I liked the potential of the Viking setting so I got Valhalla from Gamefly, but I'm finding very little motivation to continue plugging along. I don't really care for the progression structure Origins introduced, I despise this game's skill tree, it sucks big time especially before, when the primary skills were obscured in that pointless fog. I think I'm just sort of over AC now, I don't particularly care for the direction they went with that 'reset'. To me the games no longer make me feel like an Assassin, and they seem to have abandoned the systems I thought made the series unique.
To a point.People can also criticize a game and still really enjoy it.
