I used the Madsen up until I unlocked the BAR. I had no intention using support for as long as I have but that BAR is too good to pass up.

Do you use it full auto or single fire? I've heard it's pretty beastly in single fire mode.
I usually go Anti-tank but D-V-ANT has fallen in love with that class so I went with Support instead. Mainly because it is different for me and would serve him well too. Plus, I get my limpet charge, so my tank killing days are not over just yet

Once I get to level three and the Hunter we can swap. I want to start working on that BAR as well.
They'll be slow with their nerf so hopefully I can get some griefing done with it before that.
I kelp it at full auto but just tap trigger for longer shots. Some people are too stupid to dive for cover and 90% of the time I'll get the kill.

Yeah the shotgun has quite a long range. I've been surprised a few times. For example, in Argonne forest I was next to the bunker furthest from the flag and a guy, who was standing next to flag, killed me with the A 10. Colored me surprised.
You know it's a Dice game when smaller caliber guns or shotguns have better stopping power at distance over assault rifles.
Not many people are aware that the LMG's actually grow more accurate the longer you stay in auto. You get far more recoil with the first few rounds than what you get about 3 or 4 rounds into a burst.
For long shots just go prone. The damn thing is like a lazer when prone.
My only issue with the BAR is the ammo per clip, it just isn;t enough when facing a full squad which results in you dying. Other than that it is pretty awesome.
Not sure which I prefer though, the Madsen MG Storm or the BAR Telescopic.
Yep. I've killed people from farther away with a single shot. Close quarters it is unmatched (as a shotgun should be) but when you're 25-50 meters away you shouldn't be killing people.
Got my first taste with shotguns last night. Was using the entry level Model 10 with Assault Class, and I loved it.

Yeah. On Argonne Forest on the path that leads away and to the back from C flag on the bridge. I've single-handedly repulsed 2 squads with the A-10 Hunter. I've seen people just decimate with it.
People are complaining on the official BF1 forums that it is OP. It isn't OP it just needs a slight tweak to the range. You still need some measure of skill to absolutely dominate with it, but as long as you face an enemy and keep it centered you will always kill them first.
BTW Argonne Forest is fast becoming known as 'Shotgun Forest'.
Just wait till you get the Hunter variant that we have been talking about. Better hip fire accuracy. I don't know anybody that actually aims down the sight anyway with the A-10 Hunter. LMAO.

I was just running around the cap points although i was being pretty aggressive in my attacks. I wouldn't say i totally dominated, even with 47 kills. I had 33 deaths. :-)
I also tried ADS with it and I took out a scout who was firing on me with one of the semi auto files. I reckon you have a one hit kill range of about 40 meters with it. And as most players in the game aren't running around with full health that just makes it even better. The best is when you get behind a squad who aren't paying attention. That is just carnage.
It reminds me of that auto shotty in BF4 with the frag rounds. Good times.

How the hell did I forget about that!! That was so funny. Every time he went into a dive to repair the engine we just shot the engine out again. That was some straight up Indiana Jones / Michael Bay action movie s*** right there.

The step firing line was used to basically create a semi auto rate of fire that was nearly unstoppable in its time.
Anybody here beasting with the Tank class? I don't know if it's easy or it's because I been playing quite a bit of Tank since BF2, but goddamn do I get so many kills it's stupid!. 30 - 0 is a Bad day for me I have a highest streak of 52 but overall I've hit 60 kills and just a couple of deaths.
It's usually consistent but depends on the enemy team. Sometimes I see myself surrounded by Assault dudes and they can definitely take me out easy. Getting hit with those rocket launcher thingies from every angle can get annoying as hell but I must say it's super effective. 3 - 4 assault guys doing the same can take out a tank easy.
My least used class has to be the Assault it's still around level 6 while I'm level 10 with Medic, 8 with support and almost 10 with scout. I am really loving the scout carbines! The power, range and sound of them rifles is ridiculous! Only downside is you can get screwed easily at close range so you have to change up your approach tactics.
But overall Medic class is still the best for me. Useful with its healing and revives and the guns are amazing for close to mid range (especially Mondragon & Sabelsebastianorwhatever).
Definitely the best multiplayer game this year for me.

That's the problem with tanks/assault. Tanks are pretty easy to kill for 2 assault.
The problem is not enough people pick assault. A big part of the problem is the SMGs just aren't very useful in a lot of situations. Who's going to play those wide open maps with an SMG?
You can't really be expected to shoot with classes that have massive range when your gun jumps around like a fire hose. Some of the maps are fine, but others are just too big and wide open.
Their grenades and rockets are huge though.
With this game it has really been hard to predict. Personally I don't see a shortage of assault players in conquest. Sometimes it feels most of the enemy team has assault dudes and I think they just like to use the rocket gun. Plus I think you'd be fine with it but need to just stick to the villages, tunnels and generally tight areas. The only map I feel you'd be really limited in is Sinai Desert. No way I'd go for F, G or A with assault class I'd just hold E, C and very carefully D and B.
I forced myself to play assault more and it can be done. It just gets frustrating sometimes on the bigger maps. You see someone 50 yards away and don't bother to shoot because you'll never hit them with the smg.
On big maps you kind of have to play the sneaky bastard. Sneak around and hide in a shell hole or something and suddenly the flag starts to cap and everyone is looking for you.
I really wish they would add a rifle option to the assault class. Maybe a bolt action or something without much stopping power. The class is kind of balanced out by their very useful gear but of course in some situations, assault is just the wrong class.
I've actually never used the shotgun. The SMG is fine, but obviously very situational.
I know the game is made for plebs so they can actually sell but wish 90% of the people in this game used bolt action weapons.
