Yeah. I think Argonne Forest, Amiens and Empires Edge are my favourite maps.

The only map I don't like is Monte Grappa. I can't stand it.

Yeah same here. Monte Grappa is a pretty looking map but its design makes it very Sniper heavy and the side of that mountain is just a constant meat grinder.

Monte Grappa is definitely a map you need smart teammates on. It can be super annoying, mostly when you are running to get to the fight, only to find by the time you got there it moved somewhere else.

With a good squad or two you can hold the 2 flags at the high ground and have some fun, then hopefully hold C. That usually falls apart though.

The best way to get real type snipers is to add some small wind circumstances to the bullet drop. Then there'd only be skilled snipers.

I actually love the Monte Grappa map. The only map I'm not too fond of is the one used in the demo. But by far my favs are Argonne, Amiens, and Ballroom Blitz.

To avoid snipers, run in a zig zag pattern (image how WW2 ships would randomly zig zag to avoid torpedoes). It makes you much harder to hit except for the most skilled snipers. If you run in a straight line you will get picked off.

I also found the limppet charge to be very valuable. I ditched the mortar and started using the charge.

Zig zag does not work on that map when your on the mountain face.

Agree with the favourites but I don't like Monte Grppa. I find it very frustrating to play that map.

Hope you guys got all your model A 10 Hunter shotgun kills. Like I expected Dice nerfed it in the newest/upcoming patch.

They also added a buff to LMGS and added a rifles only game mode.

The nerf was inevitable.

Patch notes are here

I am not seeing anything about quiting taking so long when you quit at the end of a round.

Or seeing anything about the ridiculous amount of time it takes for a map to load

For all the complaining people do about the Model A Hunter, I rarely ever get killed by it. They will probably make it worthless now.

You have to either be holding or at least contesting the two high points on that map. Once you let the enemy get settled in on those points, they will dominate the map.

There is no other flag in this game that gives such a big tactical advantage as B does on Monte Grappa. I mean take flag C on Sinai Desert, it is, like Monte B, the most contested flag on the map, but unlike Monte B it doesn't give any real advantage when held. Same for Flag C on Ballroom Blitz or Flag D on Empires Edge.

Flag B on Monte Grappa overlooks every other flag, which means tanks, emplaced weapons, snipers and just regular infantry can rain down hell on every flag and all enemy soldiers below it. The only exception to that is flag C, but as soon as you leave underground safety you will get s*** on anyway.

That means that flag B is pretty much mandatory to cap and hold, and it shouldn't be that way. No other map is that way.

Not only that but if you spawn on the E side, you have a hill against the map boundary that allows you to snipe down the valley at A, into C, and up at B. It's next to impossible to get behind them, even if you rush E in a tank.

Been having a more in depth look into these changes and can not wait for these.

  • LMG Damage drop off happens at farther distances
  • Changed LMF base ADS dispersion increase from -0.12 to -0.085 so they are more accurate on first shots.
  • Increases base damage of Huot from 21 to 23.
Hopefully that last one is a really good thing. I should have hit level 10 last night and want to try out the Huot.

This is why a squad is so important. D is important because without it, you have little chance at B. If your team doesn't have B, at least keep constant pressure on it from D. Run along the very top edge of the map and you can flank the defenses and get in, hopefully along with some people hitting it from the far side.

The fort map is the same way. There are multiple ways to play those maps, but all of them except one are wrong.

If your squad leader isn't competent, form a new squad or spam "request order" until you get it.

These maps can be fun but the more open ended ones are usually better. They mention map tweaks, so interested to see what those are.

I consider all that irrelevant and nothing but a consequence of a poorly thought out level.

There should not be a mandatory flag to capture in Conquest, that sort of meat grinder gameplay is for Rush and Operations.

In the end it boils down to the map not being fun regardless of the win or loss. It just sucks. No other map in the game is like it.

Can't wait for the changes.....hope the grenade bow will add some vehicles damage for support.

So apparently the HE crossbow bolt only does 8 damage against vehicles. Sounds a bit low. Considering the launcher does 16 or 17 I would have expected at least 10% from the cross now. I have the patch downloading now. It'll be interesting to see how the Model A Hunter is now.

To be fair, it is given to a class with unlimted ammo. However, that would mean you have to refill ammo stocks like 6/7 times to take out a tank.

I assume the restocking of ammo for it takes a fair bit like the grenades do.

Guess I'll see what it feels like but on paper it seems a little lite. I should be around 9 if you're around.

Hit detection seems off after update

Hit detection seems off. People are disappearing then reappearing. They haven't fixed the black screen issue. Audio issues. Crashes. Menus are still laggy & are freezing.

A few images from the 'They Shall Not Pass' Expansion.

The second pic seems to indicate that we will get the French Army in this expansion.
