It is? Crap, some reason I thought it was some time in 2017.Titanfall 2 is releasing this year.
Who gives a s*** what platform it was running on? This was a game unveil event............
Exactly. It's a trailer. Most trailers are rendered BS anyway. And if it's real footage, it's all nicely edited and coming from a PC rig 99% of the time.Who gives a s*** what platform it was running on? This was a game unveil event............

Who's complaining about the trailer and the platform of choice?
It is representative of actual game-play, and was all Xbox One in-engine footage, apparently.

It always is. The same thing was said about the trailer for the last battlefield game and that one nearly turned me off the series for good. It does look good though. A World War One setting is something I've been waiting on for a long time.
Medal of Honor Warfighter had great promo videos and I remember a slick gameplay video too..... probably a PC rig.
But the the first time real gameplay was done with gamers was some kind of Gamespot stream in a friendly contest between gamers vs. EA Q&A testers. Game looked like shyt.
EA always has the best preview vids. Whomever in their marketing dept is in charge of editing their promo vids should be promoted to CEO.
Asked by GamesBeat what DICE is doing to ensure a Battlefield 4-like launch won't happen again, lead designer Daniel Berlin said Star Wars Battlefront's smooth rollout is evidence that DICE is improving. He also said he expects Battlefield 1's upcoming beta to help hammer out any issues before launch.
"It's a focus for us," Berlin said about ensuring Battlefield 1 gets off on the right foot. "We know [Battlefield 4] was a difficult launch. We've been working on this for a long time. We released Battlefront, which did really well. We're pushing an open beta to ensure stability. We've taken a lot of learnings from that experience, and we feel like we succeeded with Battlefront. We'll take everything we learned there and apply it to Battlefield 1 as well."
Battlefield 1 Dev Hopeful Game Can Avoid Battlefield 4-Like Rocky Launch
Yeah, right.....and I am about to go feed my stable of unicorns and wrestle my flying pigs out the sky.
Battlefield launches are notorious.
What's really alarming is that he's only "hopeful". I'm sorry, but if you plan to launch one of the biggest games of the year you better be pretty f***ing certain your infrastructure and code are up to the job.
Battlefront was smooth and painless, I'm not sure there is any real reason to hesitate these days.
