The fact that there are no dedicated servers is a deal breaker for me. On the plus side, I got my refund and I still can play the beta if I feel like it.

Played a few hours. I had some fun it’s decent. Looks great on the Series X also matches load in seconds. Like being able to swap attachments on the fly and being able to call in vehicles.

With a crowded shooter holiday season coming up I doubt I get this day 1. Will probably wait till around Christmas.

Game can run decently at 1080p and medium settings on my potato GPU. Looks weird though. Like sharpness turned to 11. Will have to check that next time I try it. Only played for 10 minutes but pretty meh really.

You had me scared for a second, I'm fine with not playing 1500 tickets metro (although I wonder how they will do hazard zone) but there are dedicated servers still. They might do server rental post launch.
Yah, maybe I was just being a lil dramatic. Anyway, the game is starting to grow on me. It's pretty fun. It's a mix of warzone and BF2142, which I enjoyed. They just need to do some adjustments to the recoil or lack thereof. When there is server support, I'll bite. I want my HC mode.

Played a good 6 to 7 rounds.

Game is lacking weight in terms of gunplay. Weapons have no punch.
Sound design is immensely downgraded.
Graphics are fine, nothing to write home to.
Player control is kind of weird. Been messing with setting the entire time trying to figure things out. To make things smoother/faster.

I need more practice with vehicles.
Ill say it again. Sound design is huge downgrade.
Destruction is lacking.

edit: Saw some people say the lacking sound might because of a headset setting bug. I will try my soundbar tomorrow.

Sound was one of the best parts of Battlefield. Real bummer to hear it is lacking.

I thought your claim of dedicated servers sounded wrong. This game simply wouldn't run without them.

However, no RSP for portal mode should have folks a little worried. EA and their servers aren't great even when they limit an curate them for specific limited modes. I really don'tt see how they will handle the extra demand from the likely thousands of "modes" and instances something like portal will create.

Got a few rounds in tonight, loved it, had some great chaotic moments that had me smiling, game looks and runs amazing mostly on SeriesX and my new TV.

Had the volume cranked and I didn't notice any audio downgrade? In fact it sounded amazing with choppers and jets flying above, bullets whizzing by and debris flying everywhere, explosions looked and sounded great and the guns good too. Destruction seems to be the same as past games didn't notice anything different.

However I had some weird graphical flickers and glitches that pretty much ruined it for me, the first couple matches were perfect, then it seemed to creep in more and more, it was way too distracting to keep playing so turned it off, hoping it might be alright tomorrow.

As always, I look forward to most of you eating crow and changing your tunes 100% on release of the final game. This is a fun game already in demo stage, final version will be great.

BF and COD go through the same thing each release. Cold War was apparently one of the worst games ever made based on the internet, yet it set tons of sales records and had tons of players.

The last game was way better and the new one sucks! I'm seeing tons of people on other sites saying how they loved BF V. Funny they didn't seem to exist when anyone was actually playing BF V.

I bet they were all the more spin records. Like best selling cod through digital, etc. Lol.

"This is a super simplistic version, and doesn't do justice to the work involved. It's the nature of software development. We work in branches, so while we have our launch day branch any spin-offs (betas, demo, E3, gamescom etc) all get created from it. The beta was taken a few months ago from our main build, and from there you then go into hardening mode. This is where you focus on bugs, stability and no further work should get checked in. With each check-in, comes the risk of new issues coming up (as is the case with Software Development). We're making so many changes to the build so you have to make a call between locking the build or stopping active development. We don't want to stop development of our launch build, so you have to 'cap' the branched build (in this case the beta) at a specific time. This won't be unique to us, this is how the industry will operate as a whole. The same thing will happen to release builds the closer a studio gets to launch, it gets locked down and then the hardening process can begin. Worth noting as well that with dates changing, it just makes the build older etc."

f*** PC GAMING.

Will NEVER PLAY CROSS PLAY PVP WITH YOU MFERS.

Stupid companies trying to force consoles to play with PC because of how dead the PC versions are.
Consoles aint your crutch.

To be fair, they may have their anti-cheat basically watching for now to test it out.

They might be gathering data on all those cheats and will start banning them.
