I'd wanna double check, when the beta was out 2 of my mates who have SeriesX had their download default to Xbox one version and because they didn't really know any better thought it was the actual SeriesX version.

You should be good though, you can always check by checking your achievements, and any EA game will come up with SeriesX/S version.

That would be nice. I'm not sure if the 10 hour trial is available on PS5 EA Play, but if so I may be willing to buy a month just to try it. I tried BF2042 on PC via GamePass Ultimate and the game just runs like garbage on my old 4yo GPU. Maybe it's fun, but no way I'm dropping $70 on PS5 version just to find out I hate it.
 
This game is a time sink. 45 minute matches and 128 people. But the maps are pretty damn cool. I love that we can go up high in a lot of places now. The snow map was cool to play on, being up on this huge hill looking down, with a ton of paths to take down. Oh, and I was enjoying camping there, but of course only killed one.

I am going to give it more time of course, but so far I am enjoying it. I have only played Conquest.

Breakthrough is a lot of fun. A little more structured as conquest with so many people can be a little random (might jump on a point and see nobody, or there may be 3 tanks and 5 squads). I love conquest in past games, but in this one sometimes it is easy to not be able to find the right fight. Breakthrough is a lot more structured, although it usually turns into a mess at the end.

at this point, i can say i really like this game... my experience improved massively since disabling crossplay. crossplay with PC for PvP is literally the worst thing to happen to console multiplayer

gone back to conquest now too since breakpoint is just getting annoying! that one map where the objective is on the roof... i was on defense and we were getting hammered, yet we still managed to hold that one. I genuinely think they just dont play their own games, so many baffling game design choices

Yeah they absolutely need to fix the rooftop objectives. It is pretty much impossible to attack. They've mentioned it somewhere. One simple thing would be to prevent vehicles from spawning on there. The defense can just drop in tanks on top of a skyscraper, and obviously that needs to go.
 
I love using the wingsuit, a couple times in a breakthrough game on the snow map I was jumping off a cliff and using the wingsuit to fly through the valley and land on the other side of the team, I would get shot straight away because I freaked out, definitely my favorite addition in this game.

This. I think it was before patch 2 when I played Breakthrough for a good hour and the server kept going after the match ended. Everyone waited until everyone on our team was dead and couldn't spawn. It kept going and eventually people left and AI were spawning in their place.

Ah ok, wouldn't you just be playing with PS5 players though? Most Xbox players will be playing with PC there's never been a problem with population.

It seems to be when there's a ton of people on screen and possibly when you purposely shoot people further away. It needs to be fixed, but I don't think it happens very often. Every now and then I shoot someone and don't get hit markers, but it seems rare since they fixed the bloom.
Honestly too I don't think they fully removed bloom so I think bullets can still miss, they just turned it way down.
