Not to get off topic, but it seems like my Bloodborne save is gone? Not that I got far. But I think I need PSN+ to play with you if I do I play. I will sign up for PSN+ again and let you know.

Firestorm - played a couple of games and IMO it isn't great. It isn't that it is bad per se, but it just feels generic, unexciting and incomplete. The ring of fire is hilarious, it destroys everything in its path except people, you can spend an eternity in it.
Really needed its own progression system and cosmetic rewards.
The biggest problem is I don't see it getting much post launch attention from the devs. So, what it is now isn't likely to change much...and that is not good.

So just like the normal game then? I'd have to look it up to be sure, but it seems like they've only added like two new maps since launch, and maybe one game mode. Where are the other countries and theaters? Is this game just going to be GAAS going forward and we'll have to wait a year before we get Americans and Japanese or something?
This is the problem with the model. Their only revenue is from cosmetic items. I personally don't care if my pants are gray or olive drab. I'm betting a lot of people feel the same (it is different in a game like Anthem or Destiny where you have more options and maybe care more about it).
So, the content is essentially free, but of course when is it coming out? Had they sold people a season pass for DLC, then they would need to generate more stuff. They have said that much more is coming, but unfortunately I'm betting it is a long way out.
I'm just betting their team is really small and updates are a long way out.
Only 1 new map thus far. Another comes on the 28th.
They released a road map for 2019, it would seem a new theatre isn't coming till the end of the year.
What cosmetic items? All the stuff is still the same as launch and not unique looking at all.
Not gunna generate much revenue that way.
I was about to try this out but XBox Live is down right now. I’m having trouble signing in and accessing my games. This sucks.

Yeah it is bizarre. People on Anthem are complaining for more options too. Some people do like spending money on this stuff and it can't be hard to create?
My big worry is that this cosmetic only option works great for huge hit games like Fortnite and Apex, but not for games like Battlefield. BF is a big game, but not on par with that.

All you need to make money are compelling items and game not mired in s***. BF 5 has neither.
So they finally added new content to the store, and 75% of it is in the new BF currency only, the rest of the swill can be bought with either the new currency or company coins. Lame.
I played Firestorm a few more times. It’s ok just not pulling me. Might also be because I can’t get anyone else to play it now. Everyone is either still playing Division 2, COD Blackout, or PUBG on my FL. No one will play Apex anymore either I actually really liked that one. I just don’t find playing BR games alone when no friends are on that fun anymore.
I played a couple matches. Was ok I guess but that was enough for me. Apex is the most I've played in a BR and that was only maybe 20 hours. Just not my thing honestly. Biggest problem with Firestorm was voice didn't work. It works fine in regular MP but I couldn't talk to the two randoms so ended up dead pretty quick. First match we got bombed to hell. Second we just got surrounded. Didn't help that I don't think any of us had really found anything of value then. And that is primarily why BR games aren't for me. I just don't have the time anymore to play MP games and then add to the fact it's completely random if you'll be equipped decently enough to last the first firefight.

Hopefully they do something to fix the lag. All of a sudden my game is really quirky on Xbox 1. I snuck on a sniper lying prone and stood right behind him and shot him and nothing.
Only took 6 months but a new map will be here Thursday.
EA Play there is supposed to be big news for BF5 and its DLC.
I also read somewhere that Dice is working on alot of new maps.
Simple fact is their current DLC offerring is crap and the only chance they have to rebuild their playerbase is by adding new maps regularly and adding new factions/theatres of war quicker. I mean waiting a year for the Pacific theater and presumably the American & japanese factions is dumb.
According to Reddit, Dice's LA studio is working on maps now (Dice/EA didn't exactly confirm but posted in the thread).
The new "anti-tank" sniper is really annoying in game. It is a one shot kill to the body at the right range. Someone sees a single pixel of you sticking out of cover and *bang* dead. Just another reason to encourage people to camp and not play the objective. The gun isn't even that good, but annoying. I think 20-30% of my deaths are from it.

I heard they’re planning on a map a month going forward, though I don’t know when that’s gonna start from.
