Weapon balancing has done nothing.

And is it just me or has footstep audio got worse in terms of consistency?

I do seem to have fixed hit registry issues, though. Seems it isn't the game but is bullet velocity related. I figured the 500m/s default of the AK would be more than enough, but nope. I put on the barrel with +100% BV and registering is much improved. So, something to consider when gun building.

Played a few games on the new Pine Mall map. Seems alright. Love that they had the common sense to put the new maps in their own Playlist.

The Battle Pass seems kinda s***. Not a single cool, noteworthy weapon skin. But still has the earnable 1300 CP...I feared they would lesseh this, but thankfully they didn't.

Their weapon balancing is really puzzling. I guess they are going the same route as the M4 in MW. Make tiny adjustments to it for months until you finally nerf it hard enough to not be the only viable gun in the game. The Aug won't even change 6v6 much, but it won't be Warzone meta most likely. I'm guessing that's all they nerfed it for.

I figure the Stoner is probably going to be Warzone meta? That's not needed in 6v6 but the thing will shred in Warzone.

It isn't puzzling, it is just dumb. The reason the M16 is so OP is because it is a 1 burst kill. You simply can't compete with it. Make it a 2 burst with the old ROF and it is pretty much fixed.

Warzone is irrelevant. They are completely seperate games.Balancing the AUG in CW has no effect on the AUG in WZ or vice versa.

The new Mall map is just far too big for 6v6. I think it could be a better map in bigger modes, but 6v6 is just too big. Kind of reminds me of Terminal, but like way bigger than that. Tons of neat flank routes, but just too much time running around not seeing anyone.

They clearly design these maps for other modes and just throw it into 6v6 without thinking. Nobody wants a map that big in that mode.

It took me 10 matches straight of that map before I got 1 for Raid :( People must be auto-quitting it.

Raid is great. I hope it gets its own playlist.

Size seems fine to me. Just as action packed as any other map beside Nuke Town.

Are the new maps in TDM?

I am still confused by what the microtransactions are in COD. For example, in the past you would buy COD for $60.00. Then you were given an option later to buy a map pack for say $15, so now you have new maps in that pack. Next pack is $15, and you get those maps. Then you had the choice to just pay ahead for the entire map releases in advance.

I know there are cosmetics in games, like say horse armor for $2.50.

Now maps are free. So if I pay $60.00 for the game, and I get all the new maps for free, what is the incentive to pay for "battepass"? It seems that battlepass is for those that don't have the patience to play the game normal and earn/unlock everything. I see you get two weapons (I assume people like me that don't want battlepass will never get those two weapons?), which..I assume are not "pay to win". Some cosmetics, and whatever weapon blue prints are. Maybe I am missing it, but I had an incentive to buy the maps, but I don't see any incentive to get a battlepass.

The battle pass has things that are free for everyone. The new guns are free to everyone. So if you buy the pass, you'll get something every level, where on the free track you'll just get something every so many levels. You definitely get the guns for free though. Most of it is just cosmetics, and some weapon blueprints, which aren't that useful.

On top of that, you can still straight up buy cosmetics from the store outside of the pass.

Honestly the battle pass is mostly not worth it. It takes a ton of XP to level it up (way longer than leveling up to 55 took) and it is mostly things like player icons and stuff. The positive is once you buy the first one, you usually earn enough coins to buy the next one and the next one, etc.

Thank you for that. You pretty much confirmed I don't want or need it. But apparently people must want it otherwise they wouldn't have changed direction to offer us free maps.

The BP items are only obtainable via the BP. Has nothing to do with not having patience. The main game has very few unlockable cosmetics outside calling cards.

Blueprints are just predetermine weapon builds with a different skin. Neither the build or skin are mandatory though.

The BP is if you care about cosmetics. But if you buy it once you never have to pay again as long as you level up far enough. It is actually the best BP system I have seen. As for leveling up, it really isn't bad at all. It takes about 40 minutes( 4 TDM games) to go up a level. You have 60 to 70 days to complete the BP. So roughly 1 hour a day and will unlock all 100 levels in time. Plus, double BP XP Weeks/week ends helps quicken things up.

But if you don't care about cosmetics, I am good to go without it.

Lots of double XP coming for the holidays. Note that a little bit of it is PS exclusive because that's a thing now.

Is there a way to play the new Warzone map? It says it is live but I didn't see any way to play? Or is it just random between it and Verdansk?

Thanks, I found it. They only have 3s for now but hopefully they switch it up. I have to play solo, as I don't get along with... people.

It is clear that I'm in a comically different skill bracket for CW. My win/loss is back over 2.0 again, and this is as a solo player. I had to switch to an LMG on hardpoint because I kept running out of ammo when I was wiping the team. It is clear that I'm up against much lower skilled players still. I hear them shooting and missing. In MW, if someone saw me, I was insta-killed.

It is hilarious at how inconsistent it is. Seems to spill over to Warzone too, as I had a top 5 on solos without even trying.

The SBMM is definately different in CW. Not even sure they have brackets cause I was getting 1.2 to 1.5 K/D when I first started and even after a week of not playing I am still doing the same. Maybe they increased bracket size to include more variation and prevent the flip flopping.

What ever it is I like it.

Turns out 2XP for everyone was a mistake. It was only PS only for today. Everyone starts tomorrow.
