It’s hilarious that season 2 is pretty much them just reverting a lot of things in WZ2 back how they were in WZ1 lol. So munch wasted time making all these changes just to change most things back to how they were and the community wanted all along. Idiots. I am looking forward to trying the new map and Resurgence.

Played last night with some buddies. Ran into a bunch of bugs/glitches some still there since launch. I’ll say it again how does a company this big with this many teams working on this game still can’t fix the f***ing thing. menace-uk- yeah so many times you don’t even hear enemies around you walking and even running at fill speed till they are right on you and it’s too late.

The audio in WZ2 being crap isn't just footsteps. The audio in general is terrible and flat. WZ2 sounds like an average stereo mix while Apex sound like TrueHD 7.1.

Yep and some quality of life changes that would’ve made it better. It’s funny they ask their community what they want, they tell them, then do the opposite most times. This release I haven’t been playing as much as I normally do I’ve had enough of their BS. If it wasn’t for my good friends still playing and us doing well when we play together I’d be playing another MP shooter more.

IW has just gone off the rails. Clearly they just think they know better, and somehow make these puzzling decisions all over the game.

They made so many decisions across the game that just make no sense. 2v2 gulag? I haven't heard one person like it. The perk system? I don't get ghost until halfway through a game? UAVs are just crazy good and swing a match. Rather than balancing the perk everyone uses, just turn it off for half the game? Everyone uses ghost, campers and rushers, so no clue even what the point of it is.

The MP map design is just boring and uninspired. Every map has too many shooting lanes. It is like in 2019 they watched a lot of Rainbow Six Siege and want everyone camping and holding lanes.

I don't think there's one good map in this game right now. Is there any map that will be remade into a new game? That's why they constantly recycle old maps, they can't make new ones. Museum is a camper paradise with the 2nd floor.

They want to make COD into something it isn't. People want to run around and have fun.

The problem is there's little competition and everyone knows it. I'm long over the whole battle royale thing, but that seems to be all anyone plays anymore.

They've turned into EA Sports. They ran off all the competition and now we're stuck with it. Halo had promise but they have a whole mess going on over there. BF2042 isn't ever going to get to where the old BF games are. A new BF game is years and years away and there's nothing I know of on the horizon in the FPS world.

Plus, we make enough COD points from the first pass to basically keep going, so what else are we going to play? They still make tons of money selling pay to win skins to most people, and the rest of us will just keep riding the pass.

I like BR but I want a quality competitive shooter and we haven't had one for a very long time. Hence my excitement for TDM in Apex Legends, 6v6, best of 3 rounds, Apex movement and Gunplay which are very good. Should be good.

I'll have to give Apex a go. I've honestly never even tried it for some reason. TDM would definitely get my attention.

Apex is good but for some reason I just never stick with it for long. I’ve also wanted to go back to PUBG and play that again just never take the time to do it. Fortnite looks amazing now, but I get bored of this game pretty quick.

What I like about Fortnite is it’s a chill game (no builds) I can play have some fun by self or team up with my kids and I have a good time playing. It doesn’t frustrate the s*** out of me while I’m playing or make me want to throw the controller lol. When I lose it’s usually something I did wrong or the other player was just better than me. Every now and then I’ll run into a player doing questionable things.

Agreed, now I do only play on the weekends so if I did play every couple of days I probably would get bored.

Yep. I loved playing Battlefield and COD but then Live Service happened, and they get worse with every game. Competitive shooters are dead.

You would think someone would wise up, enter this market with a good well supported game, and seize this player base while other shooters continue to s*** the bed. Makes you wonder have online shooter games become too big/complex and these developers are in over their heads trying to design, keep them running, handle the player base, updating bugs, while also keeping them fresh bringing players back for more… but hell other companies have been doing this with MMORPG’s for decades though. Just makes no sense why it’s so difficult for them to put out quality products now and keep them that way through their life cycle.

Just makes no sense why it’s so difficult for them to put out quality products now and keep them that way through their life cycle.

It is all about money. For all the problems with COD/WZ, Activision puts the money in because they know they can get it out. EA puts much, much less towards BF games and it shows. I think the problem is that even when BF was at its height, it was still 2nd to COD (granted a strong 2nd). Because of that, EA invests much less and just tries to carve out a niche instead of producing a real AAA game.

For all the flak Bliz/Activision gets, they throw money and a ton of studios at this game. They ultimately know that they'll sell a ton of $20+ packs with pay to win skins and other things. The cycle just gets worse and worse with each BF2042 and other failed game that loses money. I'm guessing companies are simply less and less likely to go big and instead try to create a "live service" that is really just a market test.

It doesn't help that all streamer attention goes to Warzone now. Nothing else even gets attention. There aren't even "BF" streamers anymore. All those moved to WZ. Even if they occasionally cover BF they never stick with it. They go where the money is, and that's Warzone. None of them even gave an "opinion" video on the recent 2042 changes. They didn't even bother to trash it. That's how irrelevant it has become.

Even the joke of the MP content for COD doesn't get much attention. XclusiveAce is the last Youtuber I know who even still only does multiplayer.

Installing it again now. I had it on day one but uninstalled it that same day or next day.

If EA was smart they would do BF Bad Company 3 next and get that franchise back to what made it fun during the BC1 and 2 days. Of course the PC BF purists of early 2000’s probably won’t like that. I just want a fun/addicting game again.

BF BC3 would just be a normal BF game today.

EA's problem is greed and chasing trends, that wouldn't change just because it is bad company.

EA need to stop the greed, stop the trend chasing., remake BF2 from PC complete with destruction, and none of this shrunk down classes crap. BF2>>>>>Every other BF since, and it isn't even close.

Vanguard was the first COD game I straight up skipped and this might be the 2nd. Sledgehammer is basically a worse version of IW too.

It was originally rumored they were just going to sell a "classic MW2" map pack with those classic in it, but it sounds like they are just going to make a "new" game and reset everyone's progress. That way too they can sell people all new microtransactions.

It isn't competition. Infact, you are part of the problem. All that complaining you did and you still bought it, that is the problem. Stop giving them money. They make billions from s***ty products so why change? They won't until that money starts drying up.

That's what happens when they run off all the competition. I need some sort of FPS fix and I'm not getting it anywhere else.

I still play Ground War/Invasion and get away from the crazy SBMM and have fun in COD in spite of the issues.

I'd rather be playing a Halo or BF game, but those are struggling now (I do pop in 2042 from time to time, but that is slowly dying off).
