Overwatch 2 helps me with the FPS itch and Fortnite same with BR's. And they are both free to play
Yeah it's fun. Choose what role you want first then the hero you like after reading about each one.

I think that's it. Me jumping in means doing some "homework" to figure out what everything does and the current meta. It isn't a lot, but it is just enough to keep me from bothering. I'd need to really put the time into comp to get any fun out of it.
That's the thing about COD. It is mindless and I can just jump in. I can miss a month and not miss a thing.
Quickplay is a great way to just jump in and learn the heroes. Or even 5v5 mystery heroes, it's basically they give both teams random heroes and there's no pressure to win per se compared to comp so you can just learn at your own leisure. That's what I primarily play atm when I just have an itch.
Ranked play sounds interesting. There's supposedly going to be some rewards for playing (a regular leveling system in addition to your actual rank, so there's a point to keep playing even if you hit your highest skill).

Ranked Play finally made its way to Modern Warfare 2, so here's everything we know about the competitive mode in Season 2.
It isn't really a reflection of your skill. You have 2 non you factors that play into the end match SR. Not to mention that the only modes available are team based objective modes. Your random teammates will have a similar, if not greater, effect on your skill level as you do.
Sounds like they are adding a 3rd map sometime in this coming season. Of course a new map could still be recycled from old games. Heck, most of the classic MW2 maps are in WZ already so they are coming at some point. Better than nothing I guess.

So, was Dome really that great of a map? It was MW3, right? I just have nothing but bad memories from 3. That game was so laggy and they had the lag comp turned up to 11 in that game.

I remember liking Dome and Hardhat in that one.
New small map Resurgence mode is a lot of fun. So much better without all the crazy movement in WZ1/Rebirth map.
Whelp for the last hour or so all of a sudden we haven’t been able to get into the new map. Thanks Activision…
Now Hardhat I remember as being great. Museum is worse than I remember from the beta. Just a terrible map, and it comes up all the time in the playlist. I assume everyone backs out until they get Dome.
Supposedly the new AR is somewhere between really good and overpowered. People are starting to unlock it and supposedly it might take over the meta, at least in 6v6.

When we couldn’t get into the new map started playing the big map last night, it’s funny how much better it plays with everyone having the same plates, same backpack, loot now hitting the ground out of boxes and bags, being able to plate on the run. Plays so much faster now. Reverting all the changes back to WZ1 made the game better who would’ve thought!? Thanks Activision.
Man did they nerf the battle pass progression. It is going to take me forever to even get the new AR. This season is a little shorter apparently too. Only 55 days since the last one got extended.
They clearly want to force people to buy tiers. I feel like I play quite a bit and get like half a token.

COD’s BP has always been slow. I play a lot and never max them out. Fortnite on the other hand goes by your level and doing challenges. You max it out easily if you put the time.
The new AR in the battle pass feels stupid good. I'd bee-line right for it. I tried it in one match with no attachments and it just seemed to wreck. I was getting killed all the time by it, but I just thought it was the new thing to try. Unless I just had a good game with it, but it seemed to melt people at any kind of range. Low recoil with no attachments yet either.
Tried some ranked MP. Did fine the first day I played it even went on a 3 win streak. Tried to play this morning and I keep getting the worst teammates that don’t work together and complain the whole time while the other team cruises to victory easily. Can’t do it by myself.

Man idk wtf happened to Warzone the last two days but every time we went to play we went against sweaty CDL/Streamer type players and couldn’t do anything. Our KD’s stay around 1 or less and I only have 6 or 7 wins now. Why put us against these badass people that seem to always know where you are with laser aim. One guy on a team in our match had 24 kills! s*** gets so frustrating to the point I don’t want to play. A few days ago it was normal players.
Atleast you can play. I can't find a single solos match on PS5.
Haven’t had any trouble getting into matches, just seems like since Saturday evening it turned into sweatville. I’m not playing this s*** when every match it turns into this. Why even put us against players clearly on another level or using cheats.
6v6 is just off now too. I'm back to losing 5 out of every 6 games and up against people who are super suspicious. Some people just seem to always know where I am. I'm not sprinting and making much noise and I shoot down UAVs. Still they seem to always turn to right where I am. One guy last night was clearly looking at where I was on a different floor, then running right towards me, and pre-aiming me.
I actually checked to see if I was shadow banned. Lots of players claim to end up in high ping, high cheater lobbies, but it says that I am not under review.
It is just like matchmaking has decided, "Yeah, this guy, f this guy".
I play a lot more ground war or invasion and I wonder if that throws off my "skill" rating. Leveling up a sniper and going 2.0 in invasion is not good at all, but maybe the game thinks I'm doing well?
In MW2019 I ended with a win% of 36.1 and I'm approaching that in this game. 2 out of 3 games are losses.... what's the point? Even if I step up and play well, there's always 1-2 people dropping chopper gunners on every lobby and a teammate going 2-20.
