Either match making is s*** right now or there are a lot of cheaters back in this game and WZ2. Something has changed since the end of last week before the weekend hit.

I'm thinking there's a cheat wave coming in. Probably no coincidence that ranked play is launching and there's suddenly a bunch of cheaters coming in.
Supposedly they had to turn off the top 250 in multiplayer because it was mostly obvious cheaters. Word is one of the top pro players was like 200 behind a bunch of people with obvious hacker stats.
There is some major cheating going on. Was playing resurgence solo and someone insta kills me. He had a good position, but something felt wrong. I spectate (along with a bunch of others) and the dude is aimbotting and wallhacking. His SMG randomly snaps out to the middle of nowhere as his cheat catches a pixel of someone.
Friday night my buddy and I was doing Duos on the big map. I was laying up on a balcony waiting for the circle change and someone was coming back from the gulag landed right in front of me already firing before I could react. I watch the replay and he was looking at me as he was coming in through a tree and the building. F***ing cheaters!
Apparently the big cheat provider Engine Owning was doing a free weekend FFS! Heard it from multiple places.
Supposedly Activision just won a lawsuit against them for a couple of million, but it doesn't slow them down.
I was having fun playing Resurgence solo but running into stuff like this ruins the fun. I start doubting every death.
There were also these major lag bombs that I've never seen before. One minute the game is fine, the next I'm not even interacting with the game anymore.
It is really bad. Not quite back in the WZ1 days, but getting there. Game needs a major anti-cheat update. The guy I saw had 5 people observing him and he didn't care.
Some in depth into the broken audio. I think it is pretty much what we all thought. Audio has a priority system, and things like killstreaks 150 meters away take precedence over footsteps. The audio does cut out because that's what it is designed to do.

Game match making is broken. Don’t think I have won a game in 2 days. Just getting matched with nothing but noobs that have high ranks but suck dick
I get the same thing. I can go an entire weekend and maybe win 1 game. A few weekends I was playing on a Sat night and said, "I'm staying up until I get a win". In 6v6, that should be like 3-4 games, max? 7 games later and I just give up.
As a solo player, this game just hates you. I play mostly Invasion/Ground War or even Warzone if they ever bring back Resurgence Solos. I basically just give up on 6v6. I can have fun for a handful of games, but eventually matchmaking just pushes me out.
There's been a noticeable influx of wallhackers too. There's more and more people tracking through walls pretty clearly.
Try Invasion or Ground War. There's actually 2 new maps and they are fun, and matchmaking doesn't do that whole thing. You just have to learn to tolerate all the snipers. Once you learn the maps you can find cover to move around.
Back in MW2019, I had a 36.1 win %. That's basically losing 2 out of 3 games. I think I'd be the same in this game until I switched modes. I've honestly barely touched 6v6. They just don't want me to play it for some reason. It is something with IW games. I rarely played Vanguard, but Cold War wasn't like this. Sure, I had some rough games, but not like this.
I’ve noticed most of the time when I play 6v6 to lvl up guns I have worst teammates while I go against clearly people partied up together.
I'm just about to unlock the explosive rounds for that stupid shotgun and now it is getting nerfed lol (I get it, it is stupid overpowered)
Potentially big anti-cheat update. They specifically mention 3rd party hardware devices, so possibly things that give people aim assist with a mouse and/or recoil mitigation? This is huge if so. I think a ton of people use these.

3 6v6 maps (one mid season), all actually new and not "new". 4 gunfight maps and 1 new GW/Invasion map.

All this stuff is irrelevant if they don't fix the game
While this will bring me back to play more, let’s see how long that lasts because I’m really getting tired of all the BS. If it wasn’t for friends and my kids wanted to play I’d probably be done with the game. So many bad choices no one asked for, bugs still there months later, audio problems still there, SBMM, cheaters, slow on changes updates to big problems, changing and taking away playlists people want, the list goes on.
Just the thought of how much worse it will get for playstation owners if MS gets clearance to buy the game.
Actually the SBMM in MP isn’t that bad, what frustrates me the most about this game is I can’t play Warzone and just have fun. I’m always going against people with clearly a higher skill level and I never understand why. Hell I like WZ in this game I like the maps and movement, but why the f*** am I always going against CDL wanna be’s!
The thing is, the casual gamer will have NO idea that anything changed related to Call of Duty. The gamers who buy COD on Xbox will buy COD on Xbox, and the PS gamers that buy COD on PS will buy it on PS. The average consumer isn't following any acquisition, lol. They will just lick on BUY NOW and download and play, not realizing that Microsoft owns it.
I get the same thing. I barely play Warzone. I mean, I jump in some solos now and then. Sometimes some Resurgence. I've obviously never won. I don't know how many matches I've played, but it is really low, and I usually finish 100+ something.
It is clear that the game sees me as "good enough to hang" with the big boys and it just gets frustrating. I don't even know the map that well.
I remember back in WZ1 they had that 3rd party site that showed you your lobby's average skill and my gosh. I was definitely thrown in the deep end.
See that’s the thing you shouldn’t be if SBMM is working properly. I’ve heard on a podcast recently the community took a nose dive in player numbers in recent months. I wonder if there is not enough players playing and that is why really good players are getting paired with average to below average players often. I can tell when I’m going against normal players in a COD game, I very rarely see normal players anymore in WZ when I play.
Honestly I think normal players are out there. A few weekends ago was all 2xp (weapons + BP) plus the game was free to try.
I still never saw any low level players the entire weekend.
COD is #2 overall on Xbox right now. That's still a ton of people. The Youtubers make drama about population drops, but they are mostly going off Steam numbers which isn't as reliable (a lot play on Bnet now).
I think I trust a high paid lawyer with years of education and experience more than a random forum poster though.
It is mathematically impossible for any company to be any worse than Activision. It still cracks me up that people don't see them for what they are.
They make EA look decent. They've taken the EA model and pushed it even further. They push out the competition and then slip in little pay to win bits.
We all play COD because there's really no direct competition other than more sci-fi games that don't fit for many of us.
