If you want a perfect example of the MS bias, look at how the Xbox Live Gold name change is being covered.
I've seen it repeated how Gold is "dying" or "ending" which isn't totally untrue, but certainly looking to make drama where there is none.

Probably the dumbest idea I've ever heard. MS has spent all this time and money building up GamePass. Why would you limit yourself to PC only? There is no chance Sony and Nintendo would accept GamePass. They would reject it and take their 30% of base sales.It also says "to be replaced with Game Pass Core". Which isn't true either. Xbox fans: " We need more exclusives on our platform "
Also Phil: " we want more gamers to have more access to more titles on the platform they want to play on"
Also doesn't help that some of these games would have been multiplatform before which is why some people see it as taking away access from them after the acquisitions.
Being both a console and PC gamer , I get to enjoy the benefits of both sides here but I see their point too.

If he was being serious, he should set the precedent and establish a new standard.
Why though? We all know Sony would never follow that so again it becomes, Xbox games should be on anything but not Sony so let's just get rid of Xbox.
We also know MS don't really want that.
He just signed a 10 year deal for new COD games with PS.
He signed zero deals with Sony to have Minecraft remain on PS, as well as the new Minecraft games such as Minecraft Legends and Minecraft Dungeons.
Elder Scrolls Online releases new expansions, and PS also receives them.
PS ain't getting all the games, that is for sure. But the more multiplayer centric, it looks like they will release them on PS.
But I agree with Nadella. It would be nice to be able to end Xbox exclusives. But Sony would have to also participate. Until then, it looks like Xbox will get getting games, and Sony won't.
Nah that can't be true... people here constantly tell us FF didn't come to Xbox because they don't sell well. Not because Sony paid to keep it off the platform.
I never saw it confirmed I just saw that Phil said he had heard they were trying to which was a rumor for a while, that's not a confirmation of anything.

They don't sell well and that's why these deals can be done in the first place, if games sold well on xbox it'd be far too expensive to try to keep the games off of the platform. I still think it's funny that people pretend Sony are the only ones that do this.
As far as Square specifically based on their own words it sounds like this is how they want to do business.

If you're disrupting the industry you would set out to make a new standard. Unless MS is content following the trend. But they are not with Gamepass creation first and also buying large publishers.
