The reason behind my hunch of it coming to game pass is that for some reason, the store let me download and install the game even though I never bought it, however I cannot launch it. Very weird.

You can do that with any game, from the Xbox app at least. When you boot up a game you haven't purchased it'll tell you that you don't own it and direct you to the store.

I installed it straight from the Xbox though, not from the app.

Tried to get some info from the stream but, as said above, that polish crew gets so annoying I had to turn off.

I saw home and character makeover... Anything about enhancements for PS5/XSX mentioned yet?

The initial gameplay they showed was on next gen consoles, but they haven't really mentioned the specifics of what's included yet (or they did and I didn't understand them or tuned it out).

I guess I'll get back to this at some point. I played up until the point of no return in the story and was focusing on side content. But I got bored and haven't went back to the game in months. At this point I'm more excited for The Witcher 3 enhancement patch and I spent over 150hrs in that beast of a game but I wouldn't mind jumping back in to start a new playthrough.

It's been so long for me, I'm considering restarting. I don't remember anything that was happening in the story, how to play, or even remember what my build was focusing on. Since they reset all the perk points due to respecing the trees, I honestly have no clue how to assign my points to fit with the gear I'd acquired.

Finally, will download overnight...this might delay my purchase of Forbidden West or Elden Ring by a few weeks.

From what I remember of my build I believe I focused on hacking. I remember opening most fights with a hacking skill that jumped to other enemies and also set them on fire. To be honest it was fun but made the combat super easy, I guess I should have increased the difficulty. But I just don't have an urge to play this especially now with so many other great games out.

If I do get back to this at some point I might do that same as you and just restart. I wonder if its still possible to put those psycho enemies to sleep with the arm missile thingy, that was hilarious, lol.

Oh nice. Finally out, will be downloading when I get home. Don't remember the controls anymore lol so will see how it goes.

Sounds like performance is the way to go.

CDPR's reputation for me is in the garbage. Even with this 1.5 patch I can't be bothered to reinstall the game. It flat out is not that game they advertised for years all the way up to launch. Should have known something was iffy when they delayed the game after it went "gold" but it is what it is.

Glad the rest of you are optimistic and are jumping back in or for the first time, but its not worth a second look or play-through for me.

Honestly, I'm just using it to fill the time between now and Elden Ring's release.

I will definitely need to give the trial a shot. I am still grateful I didn't end up buying it beforehand, but I'm a sucker for games like this was supposed to be like so if it's decent to good I'll likely convert to a purchase eventually.
