If you run out of ammo, wait 30 seconds and your ammo will completely fill up all of your weapons.

If you buy an Exotic engram from the Exotics merchant, it is a guaranteed Exotic item. But it is not guaranteed to be an item for the class you are using.

Yes. But it randomly gives ammo other than your primary. So sometimes you'll her some heavy ammo, sometimes some secondary ammo, sometimes both and sometimes neither.
It's very handy to know this when your playing a tough strike mission.

I would just watch tv and browse reddit and let them all get the kills and go collect my drops once in a while.

People are picking up on this now. My group of randoms went back to orbit after 10 minutes of my inactivity. Guess they didn't want to do my work for me.

You have to be out of primary and secondary ammo. Then just wait about 10 or 15 seconds

I'm at level 12 and I still get uncommon's for legendary engrams...

Just hit level 20 and i haven't got any legendary weapons or engrams at all, how does that work? I even farmed at that spot on earth for a good 40 minutes and the best i got was rare engrams.

I farmed it for 4 hours yesterday and the legendary engrams I did get turn out blue. It's all luck. And I seem to be unlucky

I think im only level 2 on the cryptarch though i think i might need to level that up more i dunno, might just grind on the strike playlists and bounties for vanguard marks.

Get your vanguard rep to level 2 and save the marks. Buy the time you get to level 2, you'll have about 130 marks and you can buy two pieces of legendary armour. Its way more useful than farming in the long run.

First you'll get higher level rare (blue) armour and weapons. Then you'll start to get more legendary engrams and be able to decrypt them for legendary/exotic items. But your cryptarch level also needs to increase, which will happen over the course of farming.
