That's how I aquired all of my legendary/exotic stuff so far, that and the Queen who felt it her duty to grant me 3 pieces chest armor and 5 helms...

I loot system for in game playing sucks balls, I have yet to get a legendary engram drop since hitting lvl 20. The two that I got before that yielded me items for classes I wasn't using :(

I got some from cave farming a while back but nothing since the update.
 
I tried the cave farming, but what really worked for me and finally paid off was just getting the bounties for Vanguard and getting my rank to 3. Now, I can just buy the crap I want. I also have enough coins to pick up an exotic this weekend.

Now, I have some bounties for the crucible to work on so I can some exotic weapons and get my rank up.

I've never gotten an exotic bounty, how do you get one?

I've heard that turning multiple bounties in at once will help, but I've done all 5 before at once and still haven't.
 
The Cryptarch will give you exotic bounties if you're lucky. And you can purchase them from Xur.
 
Had a LOVE night with Destiny last night. A good friend took me through the Nightfall and Daily Strike to get good loot. That is when the game is great. Good friends,Good Beer(thank you Sam Adams Double Pilsner) and good time was had.

I don't really remember to be honest. I just remember there were a few I could choose from one day going to the bounty guy. I think it was during the Queen's Wrath period.

just keep turning it bounties. it's random.

Cool. Hand cannons are the one weapon that I rarely ever use, I mostly roll with a Auto Rifle myself.
 
Got two legendary weapon drops last night. One is for a pulse rifle but the other is what I'm most interested in which is a auto rifle with a cool name of Doctor Nope. I haven't had the chance to use it yet but I hope its good.

Awesome, auto rifles are my favorite primaries. I have a pretty cool Shadow Price that I've been using that's almost completely upgraded and I got a Hex Caster ARC last night from a mission reward engram.

Destiny was especially generous yesterday. Apart from the weapon drops I also received gauntlets and leg armor legendary drops for the Titan class. Once I get a chest piece I think I'll create a Titan, right now I'm a lvl27 Warlock.

Yeah it was most definitely out of character last night. I needed 5 more strange coins to get that exotic rocket launcher Xur is selling. First vanguard tiger strike I played I got 4 coins as a reward, then later when I did the daily heroic I got another coin and the legendary engram that netted me the Hex Caster.

Normally I gotta grind to the bone just to get a legendary Warlocks' helm for my Titan...

Its weird but the legendary presents continue to drop. I got a legendary chest piece for a Titan and just now gained another Vanguard level and received the Bad Seed Down legendary pulse rifle. I didn't think I'd have this problem but now it seems like I have too many good weapons to choose from. Love it!
 
This was a great weekend for my character. I was able to get 2 exotic weapon drops and unlocked 2 more exotic weapon bounties. I went from 0 to 4 this weekend. Pretty sweet!

Yup, I'm feeling it still. I got my first legendary engram drop since I hit lvl 20, which was eons ago, last night. I got the Dr. Nope auto rifle from it though, at this rate I'll have all the legendary auto rifles lol

What exotic drops did you get? I got the legendary raid sniper. Going to start leveling that for the Oracle damage buff

I've always liked pulse rifles, so I'm enjoying Bad Juju and it looks bad ass. The shotgun is insane. I didn't realize, until I was in the Crucible, that it has auto fire!

Oh that's right. I remember you getting hard light.
That's a great haul for sure. If the invective has solar or void damage it will be a beast in the raid

Doc. Nope auto rifle is awesome. It has a insane rate of fire and almost bottomless clip with 70 rounds. Mine has the perk of little recoil making headshots even easier so it basically melts enemies faces off. I messed with the Bad Seed Down pulse rifle and it seems cool and must be even better once I unlock the perk to go full auto.

I'm not sure if Bungie tweaked the drop rate but it sure does feel more generous lately.

Holy Christmas, you're one lucky dude. Care to play the lotto for me. :grin:

I covet the Bad JuJu pulse rifle only because it looks so badass. That and the Red Death rifle which has a awesome looking bayonet attached to it.
