Developer Direct 2024 - 18th Jan, at 12pm PT / 3pm ET / 8pm UK.

Avowed's combat looks clunky, maybe it feels better to play than it looks. HB2 looks better than the previous showings, glad it's been mostly gameplay this time and not cinematics.

I’m iffy on Avowed, but Senua is giving God of War vibes, and that’s a really good thing.

Kind of surprised an IP like Indiana Jones isn't more impressive visually, it looks like a game that was meant for last gen in many ways.

Disagree. They do a very good job capturing Harrison's facial features. I look forward to it.
Yeah but that's in a cinematic, you won't be seeing his face at all during gameplay, the actual gameplay looked rough as hell. The animations were rough, the enemy models don't look very good and the environments are very average. The fire on the torch was the only thing that stood out to me visually.

Visually the best looking thing shown today was HB2 IMO.

Just got done watching the DD. Awesome. Everything coming this year. Great diversity. Great start to 2024.

I want to play it all.

My only issue is right now is the closest game is sill 5 months away. We need a few things to fill that gap.

I'm interested in all but Ara.

Funny enough , focus more on narrative story based games is all they really needed to keep doing.

References to God of War is funny to me as just not too long ago, some Xbox fans were making fun of PS studio games being too cinematic and narrative based but this is exactly what Hellblade 2, Indy are focusing on lol.

Avowed and Visions of Mana also look good.

Finally got time to watch this.

Avowed is a Day 1 play. As is Ara.

Indy I'm cautiously optimistic about but will give it a go.

Hellblade 2 is a 100% pass for me. Didn't care for Hellblade 1 and this seems like more of the same. Not that either are bad games, just not for me.

I think they kinda can’t, or shouldn’t. I haven’t seen an Indy movie since I was a kid, nor have I seen the recent ones, but to me Indy movies where never like over the top, more like something grounded that would make you go “FLICK that could happen, that would happen!”

So they’re keeping it true to form, I guess…

I think those fans where poking at the fact that that’s kinda what they’re known for and all they do, but in reality they had so many teams working on such creative games that just got overlooked cos of their scale or look….RIP Japan Studio #neverforget

I'm the same way on HB2, I didn't like the first one, initially I thought it was cool and the tricks they did with the audio were nice when playing with headphones on but the core gameplay loop was boring as hell and I don't think I made it more than 45 min to an hour in before I turned it off and never went back. I doubt I'll buy this one but I think visually it's one of the better looking xbox exclusive titles so far, in the past I've been critical because they've shown too many cinematics, but this one was mostly gameplay and it looked like a current gen game should IMO.

Exactly that. They poke fun but that's exactly what gamers want and it's backed up by the popularity and big sales 😅
