Idk, to me it just seems it shouldn't have been an issue. PS fans seem to have to deal with bad ports no matter if they get better hardware, easier optimization., whatever. I'm not sure why.

There is a lower budget so obviously compromises had to be made i.e. the more talented going to develop for the X1 version.
What's the Valliance tears tag bs about?
I could care less either way and in fact am considering purchasing the Xbox One version.

We know for a fact the PS4 is more powerful ~30-40% more. It is easier to develop for. This all shows in that the majority of all multiplatform titles where the PS4 is the better option to go for if given the choice although the differences are not ground breaking since it's usually the resolution, performance, effects or a combination of the 3 that helps it gain the edge.
Hence, there should be no excuse for devs not to take advantage of this unless there are limited resources available for the title resulting in an uneven scatter of talent among the platforms.
Since we know there is a smaller budget for this title, and the less powerful console has the more optimal version then we should be able to put 2 and 2 together unless someone comes forth with evidence which suggests they are trying to sabotage the PS4 version.
I think a better explanation is that whoever got tasked with the PS4 version was just lazier than the guy that worked on the X1 version...

The PS4 version looks better so whatever. Resident Evil Revelations 2 lol. If i'm playing any RE it's the RE Remaster. It's all about those glory days.

Thats true, but it sucks. It will be very interesting to see how DX12 integrates.

Looking at the time of posts, it took Driedmangoes 24 hours to post. Not surprisingly as you mentioned, he's in defend mode.
Give him credit. At least DM posted..... although when it's a DF article showing PS4 won, he'll likely post the article about 24 seconds after it goes live, as opposed to being a thread responder 24 hours later.
That guy must have DF bookmarked with alerts or something, since whenever DF has a head to head article showing PS4 did great, he'll re-post it on this forum in record time.

At least DriedMangoes or JinCA aren't calling people out to perpetuate the stupid Console war BS. They have their preferences( as do we all) but for the most part keep the fanboy to a minimum.

I had no interest in this thread and hadn't even looked at it until I saw I was tagged in it, thanks for the kind words Frozpot. I see a couple of odd ducks mentioned my name so I'll respond to them just this once. I haven't bothered with this thread because the X1 version of this poor looking game runs better and there isn't much else to say. If I were to offer an opinion as to why that is I'd say that anyone with an ounce of common sense knows it's not because the PS4 is lacking the power to run this below average looking game at a higher frame rate so the problem lies with the developer either lacking time, resources or talent to be able to make the PS4 version of the game what it could have been.
