I admitted that DC doesn't look so fantastic given it run on more powerful hardware & have more time to polish, & ran half the fps. Also, I feel its a bit disappointing to have cardboard characters & trees at near distance for Forza, no matter if people think they can observe it or no in game play. But I am sure it will be a thing of the past in the next game with more time on the hardware.
But a few things people need to take note.
Forza:
- Run at 2X the fps,
- a launch title.
- Experience top Tier MS studio, with 4 highly rated games prior to their name. I am fairly sure they have bigger crews & budgets
- Weaker hardware
- Simulation which have physics & calculation etc that is pushing hardware on top of visual.
Drive club:
- Ran 1/2 fps of Forza
- Have more time to polish (about 6 months or so more)
- Not a Tier one Sony studio for racing game, that would be Polyphony, which would mean smaller team, & budget.
- Arcade racer, probably less taxing on the system in term of physics
- More powerful hardware
Anyway you look at these, what are we trying to actually compare? There is no one point we can compare in isolation.
Its hard to make direct comparison of DC vs Forza on visuals, as its so hard to make any meaningful comparison (see the points I mention above).
Also there is no reason why we cannot enjoy both, if you have both console. I can see how drive club can be fun, I can see how Forza can be fun. If you have a single console, its even easier, you just pick one of the 2 that is available for your system.
