EA Access: Sony's response, is it the future of gaming and does it affect gamers?

Your favorite games are 3rd party games...PS4 runs them better then XBO...you purchased a XBO instead.
I don't think anymore needs to be said.

Both consoles have third party games but I'm more interested in the exclusives coming to the Xbox One than the PS4, hence why I got it first. Last time I checked, third party games don't make up 100% of both console's libraries.

Did me liking many third party games for my PS2 make me a Playstation fanboy just because I didn't play them on the Original Xbox (since the latter ran them much better and was a bigger gap from the PS2 than what the PS4 is to the Xbox One)?

Yeah, nothing more needs to be said. You have already proven how ridiculous/silly you are being.

Congrats PS fans. Sony finally made you a console that can keep up with an Xbox console in graphics and features. Just be happy that it's not a bottlenecked mess like the PS3 was. Why not stay humble? This isn't a troll post. It's the truth and needed to be said.

cause the PS3 didn't have the best looking console games last gen

On a side note, for those saying you're getting 10% off day one, this is where the physical deals are better. Those E3 deals, you can pre-order day 1 for 30% off.

To include the ability to resell your games, but that would make the EA Access value a mute point. :hehe:

But I could care less about value, and prefer DD for convenience.

It's actually superseded the Xbox in some games but who's counting. ;)

I think Sony definitely learned a lot from its initial PS3 debacle so why not give credit to where credit is due? You're pretty much borderline trolling by just saying "keeping up with the Xbox console" when in reality, PS4 has the superior hardware... just saying.

The PS3 supposedly had the superior hardware last gen. How'd that turn out? This gen just started. I wouldn't worry about the Xbox One matching or surpassing the PS4 in every way once developers harness the power of the cloud. Let's wait and see what happens. If history is anything to go by, Microsoft will once again have the more impressive console. The original Xbox had better hardware than the PS2 and the Xbox 360 had just as powerful hardware as the PS3 with multiplats looking better on the 360.

Im with ya on the cloud potential..One of the reasons I own a XBO.... dat potential

Haha, it is. Sorry guys -- I'm a chill person. Different from the "hyper", "RAGE!!!", fast cut/edit YouTube personalities.

I know we don't agree on much of anything here on the forums but I have no problem at all with the way you come across on your youtube channel, I much prefer your "be yourself style" to someone acting like something they are not.

You should be, 32x more powerful than an XBox 360.

You are correct on the Cloud unknown. Only time will tell on whether the Cloud will have a significant boost for the X1 titles.

Can't wait to try out EA Access for $30/yr. Much better than getting offered streamed rentals where some games are $30 alone for 90 days. And a last gen game at that.

I don't really care about growing fanbases. I make videos because I like to.

Not true. There are a decent amount of them. They don't have the same number of views as the "hyper" people though.

Again, your opinion. People like that I'm "not fake" or put on the cliche "hyper YouTube" personality. As I said before, that just isn't me. My videos would come off unnatural -- especially alongside my preference in presentation (slow transitions instead of fast/jumpy cuts).
Fair enough. So your doing this as a hobby and your not looking to turn this into something lucrative for yourself? If thats your purpose then I take back my response. Seems like an awful lot of work though to just do it for a hobby and not grow it into something truly relevant. And it isnt "hyper" personalities. These guys are excited about video games and they are showing that. Thats what gets people to follow you. Thats what gets you into the hundreds of thousands, even millions of viewers. Regardless if you want to admit this to yourself or not, your selling yourself, and sales is a transfer of feelings. Talking about Video games is nothing new, but your unique perspective and face, is. What your saying is that the world doesnt deserve your best. And thats fine. But just remember; what you put in, is what you get back. Best of luck to you....

I mean, I always did want to work in media (TV) and it was my goal after graduating college but the job market for it where I live was pretty terrible when I graduated -- many media stations here changed their crews about a year before I graduated so everything was (and still pretty much is) completely filled.

But yeah, I don't want to rely on YouTube for money purposes. That would suck my enjoyment out of making videos since I would be too focused on trying to do things for the highest views possible and nothing more.

Seems like an awful lot of work though to just do it for a hobby and not grow it into something truly relevant.

It can be time consuming but I like it. I view what I do similar to people who make indie music -- they aren't doing it for fame/popularity. They simply like making their form of entertainment for the (smaller) audience that they have.

And it isnt "hyper" personalities. These guys are excited about video games and they are showing that. Thats what gets people to follow you. Thats what gets you into the hundreds of thousands, even millions of viewers.

No, not all the time. Also, there's a difference between being truly excited and putting on an act. Something I'm really good at is telling when people are being themselves and when they are putting on an act. No offense to this guy since he seems really nice but I'm not going to act this way in videos for more viewers. No way.:

Heh, that's not true at all. I am putting in my best -- I simply feel my best is talking to viewers as I normally talk to people instead of forcing myself to sound "excited" even when I'm not.

And as I said before, people appreciate that I act myself in my videos and don't put on an act. If you don't like that then that's fine but I find your criticism strange since you are making assumptions simply due to me knowing (and not just feeling) that I would be very unnatural by putting on an act as if I'm excited all the time and doing it alongside presentation styles that wouldn't fit me (i.e.: fast cuts/edits between sentences). Being unnatural isn't "putting on my best" in my opinion. If you feel differently then that's fine but as I said before, I would rather be true to people who watch my videos instead of putting on a forced act.

[***And sorry for derailing the thread ; wasn't expecting this when I posted my video.]

Isn't that just a way to make kids buy loads of toys?

Activision 2014 line up,

Destiny (PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

Just about everything else has been killed by them.

Thats what I thought. No way their catalog is big enough to offer a service like Access.

I disagree with just about everything you're saying on this topic.

Up until around mid last gen they could have done something like this but they have a habit of killing franchises.

Thats certainly your opinion. But I've worked in the industry for a long while and I can tell you now, that most people who do this for the enjoyment of it instead of as something that can actually be truly successful, do so because of fear of failing, fear of competition, fear of success and fear responsibility. I've been there. And it takes courage to bring that kind of attention to yourself, because you HAVE to stand out. Most people fear that kind of attention. Its a lot of pressure. I'm a Leo so I live for that kind of stuff.:)

Sure you want to be true to yourself, but if you are trying to give people a reason to hear you out or be interested in what you have to say over the other guys, then you have to give them a reason and you have to not be afraid to shine. He could simply speak up and with a bit more confidence without acting like he escaped from an asylum, and I promise he'd see an increase in viewers. People love confidence. They respect it. But he's certainly free to do whatever he wishes. Its his thing. I applaud him for being courageous enough to do something he wants to do. Most people dont.

I just think there's a lot of fake personalities out there, especially on Youtube. I agree that people can do things to present themselves better, but I don't think you need to go over the top. Depends on the person I think. Anyway, enough of this derailment, lol.

Every professional personality you see on screen, is fake. LOL.

IN OTHER NEWS...
Back on topic.

Heh, this isn't true at all. If anything, there's many people who aren't true to themselves because they focus too much on the fear of failing. I personally know this after talking to former TV hosts and presenters (who had to do stupid/silly things just for the chance at higher ratings), as well as people who got caught up in the YouTube system (doing things only for top viewers/subs).

Sure you want to be true to yourself, but if you are trying to give people a reason to hear you out or be interested in what you have to say over the other guys, then you have to give them a reason and you have to not be afraid to shine.

There's people who watch my videos simply just to hear/see my opinion. That therefore means that they are interested in what I have to say.

He could simply speak up and with a bit more confidence without acting like he escaped from an asylum, and I promise he'd see an increase in viewers.

Haha, I sound like I escaped from an asylum? If anything I would say that description fits the guys who act hyper and constantly scream, rage, and/or curse in all of their videos but that's just my (and other people's) opinion.

People love confidence. They respect it. But he's certainly free to do whatever he wishes.

People actually find me to be confident since I'm actually acting myself. That creates a sense of trust worthiness (a synonym for confidence!) that what I'm saying is actually my opinion and not tinkered with and/or simply made to get attention (a la people who make nothing but bash videos). They respect that (heh, a word you used in your post).

But again, that's your opinion and that's fine. I would rather stay true my style/personality. Anyway, yes -- let's get back on topic. Never expected a derailment from just posting a simple on topic video.
