I think the beta for consoles is going to start soon, i got a email last night wanting to confirm the platform i want to try it on. It said the beta is coming soon and to keep eye out for invites. I am looking very much to trying this out as i love the elder scrolls games. I am also glad that there is no subscription fee.

I think the beta process sort of hurt the perception of the game, because the first couple of betas were not that great, and that kind of got out there in the community and really worked against them. The last two betas were excellent and I thought the game was damned good when it launched. It's not quite as open as Skyrim, but it's more open than you think and they encourage the go anywhere (up to a limit) philosophy of TES games. There is a metric ton of content in the game. I think it will do quite well on consoles especially.

Hope so. That sounds good. I was initially opposed to the idea of an Elder Scrolls MMO, but I think it'll have enough of the SP magic to make it worthwhile.

My only issue will be Witcher 3. I'll be in the middle of that, when ESO rolls out. I'll be late to the ESO party. I hope it is kind to new players, after the community has been established.

Console gamers aren't missing anything, there's a reason this went free to play.

Plus it is a huge game, 80GB install on PC....
 
It's not free-to-play, though. It's just no subscription.

80GB? Dear lawd. Hope it's nowhere near that on X1. Not sure if I'll get this though anyway.

Has anyone had a key? I can't remember if I signed up or not as its been so long!

Anyone who has got in, can you tell us all, what's it like?
 
Yeah......hate to be a mooch but if anybody gets a key for xbox one i would love to play this game.

Haven't played it, no code! Impressions are good though. I've heard mixed things about combat. Some say it's awesome others not so much. Feels like they sent out 15 codes...people are saying it's empty, lol

Combat is very similar to main ES games, so it's not great but good as far as MMO's go.
 
been downloading the client hoping i can play today, 50gb download though is pretty hefty but if i have a code i can give out i will do if anyone would like it for x1, i will look to see once i start game up if i can do that or not though
 
Been playing for a bit and i do like it, no lag whatsoever for me and i am on a wireless connection unlike neverwinter where there was alot of lag. I am glad there isnt a subscription fee as i might just pick this one after it launches. The combat to me is pretty good its pretty similar to skyrim even though u have the ability bar to use. Graphics arent the best but i think they are better than neverwinter.
 
any more impressions? after neverwinter I'm excited at the possibilities

If people liked Neverwinter then they ought to love this one, I think it's better across the board. Higher quality. Better graphics. More interesting quests. Deep crafting. Fun PVP.
 
I'm playing a Pact character. It plays very well on the console, they did a great job with the UI updates for controllers. I think I prefer playing it this way than on the PC. The only thing missing though is the chat, but I haven't messed with voicecomms at all. There's just something about seeing chat scroll by, even if not reading it, to make it seem a little livelier.
 
Good, sounds like a buy for me. I need to take a look at the more dark characters to figure out what I want to be, I usually play more on the evil side.
